I feel conflicted voting for Max Payne because it's an amazing game but also responsible for introducing the bullet time plague to gaming, which became a gimmick for hack devs who didn't understand how to use it properly (much like Soulslikes in Current Year).
 
Parasite Eve is the only good game here.

The game had a fun & challenging campaign, great mini games, and provided neat (especially at the time) bonuses (Surfing Pikachu, photo mode with printable stickers at Blockbuster™, playable Pokemon Game Boy games at up to 3x speed, etc). It was also just a fast and easy way to casually play Pokemon with friends.

You also got a special Psyduck if you actually used all 151 Pokemon to beat the various cups.

I voted for Parasite Eve and Max Payne, the first one is my favorite because of the gothic setting. Max Payne fits naturally with the themes in World of Darkness (VTM Bloodlines).

I do like the love story in Max Payne 2 with Max and Mona, the conflicting emotions that they feel for each as well as the circumstances that they're in. On one hand they are a cop and a criminal and on the other both are dealing with the grief of losing their loved ones to violence, Max with his wife and daughter and Mona with her twin sister.

I didn't even play the Touhou game but voted for it out of spite because I hate the upside down castle portion of SotN (great game until then).

It's probably the better game but I didn't like Max's new character model. They should have stuck with Sam; he'll always be the true face of Max.
Skyrim and SotN for me today, easily. Even though I've only ever played Skyrim on PS3, probably the worst possible way to experience it.
