Surprisingly it was made with real synths (because I like synths). If I am correct, I used a Korg r3, a novation BassStation mk1 as my synths, and an e-mu esi-32 for drum triggering (I use genome midi on an ipad 2 for the sequencing of everything)

ETA: I also use beatmaker 2 on my ipad 2 for wavetable synths and a umc404hd for recording instruments and audacity for recording said audio

I make stuff and throw it out most of the time but I was listening to the "Internet Juche" stream Josh did and I made a nothing wrong with doxing song out of some of it. Even though this thread is kinda dead I figured I'd post it since no one else on earth would get it. Not my first track but it is the first song I've felt was good enough to release (even though it's kinda clipping and sloppily EQ'd).

Holy crap this ripped pants song is incredible. I wish I could get my stuff to feel like it's all got it's own spot in the mix like that. The verb on that main instrument is *kisses fingers* Mwah! The samples are funny and I kinda want to do some stuff like that but I can only use samples like a shitty remix artist would at this point.

EDIT: added an mp3 to the post if you don't want to use soundcloud and I got so caught up in being a shill I forgot to talk about the OP in the first place.

This is really fucking good, I could see Jersh using this in a stream intro tbh. Good job Kiwi! :suffering::suffering::suffering:

Today, I uploaded TWO songs, both are same bpm, and same subject matter... the pigroach man! (Cue horror sting) anyway it's gonna be an A B comparison Snorty Pig, I find more hilarious just for the hell of it and Tahxic Monie Juice is more of a serious type (I can only tolerate so much of the noises so only the snorts are in as kick drum) so enjoy :)

Part of my current set up. Quite a complicated set up but easy to use. It's basically a live rig and everything goes into either a 24 channel mixer or an 18 channel digital mixer.

One of the synth modules controls all the midi and CV clock timing and the Arturia keystep and beatstep control most of the sequencing of the synths and drums. It's not for any other reason other than I like making music. I've not played live in years and I rarely record anything.

I've also got a load of guitars and amps knocking around and god knows how many stomp boxes.

Good stuffs being posted :) I wish my synth setup was as impressive, but I live in a small apartment and I dont have the space for a rackmount set... ah well, what can you do. Anyway, I have a relatively new track made from samples (I honestly dont remember all of what I sampled, but it was influenced by "Kill me a mithafucka" by Project Pat if that matters.) Enjoy

Headless Chickens. :P

The Exponents, Peking Man, Split Enz and Coconut Rough are brilliant as well. I used to chat to Andrew McLennan a lot on Facebook.

Well friends, today's song is kinda an interesting song I made a song just using a certain squirrel v-tuber voice clip from one random video talking about brain cells at 3 AM (ironic that's when I decide to get out of bed after waking up at 1:30 or 2 in the fucking morning). I honestly dont know why I did it... was it because I was bored and struck with inspiration? I dont know. Anyway enjoy the random techno track I made.

As autistic as this probably sounds, I always thought it'd be kind of cool if the more musically-inclined Kiwis did a "Kiwi Farms: The Musical" sort of like how 4chan has "/v/ The Musical" with all sorts of song parodies. They're spergy as fuck, but I'll admit I think they're fun.

Over in the shitposting sub-forum, I even wrote one called "The Spergs of A&N", a parody of the old Scots-Irish tune The Ducks of Magheralin

Premise is basically @ConfederateIrishman calling out all the autism and bullshit on A&N and Happenings

It was just a year ago today, I saw ol' @CatParty
She decked me out in ribbons and the colors they were green
She decked me out in medals and they were made of tin
Said she "Godspeed, you brave Kiwi. You're the Sane Man of A&N"

CHORUS
Oh it is a grand old madhouse in the grand old bedlam style
A detriment to Kiwi Farms, Null wanted gone a while
It has the biggest bait threads for the /pol/ tards to sperg in
And if you see a cringelord faggot, they regularly post in A&N

Oh you've heard of @DumbDude42 who lived up to the part
He preached Judeo-Christian morals, but denied the first part
He called everyone degenerate, but they would not repent
And he is another dumb sperg who posts on A&N

(Chorus)

You've heard of @Ashy the Angel the commie furry of the wild
And how she endorsed Bernie with one joyous smile
She looked forward to the primaries but the Dems picked Biden
And she never made another post on Deep Thoughts or A&N

(Chorus)

You've heard of @Syaoran Li that Card Captor libtard boy
With a "big-brained" centrist take on things and cringe white pilled joy
He made bold predictions that the good times would begin
But he's just a dumb bloomer who posts on A&N

(Chorus)

You've heard of @Secret Asshole the great Italian mod
And how he was really on point and hand-picked for his job
You've heard of @Webby's Boyfriend who always wore a grin
Because a little cartoon duckling was his only girlfriend

(Chorus)

And yes, I proudly accept and deserve all the "Autistic" ratings this god-awful post has earned

That actually sounds fun if I say so myself.

Now, for a new song. I made this trying to replicate a Hurdy Gurdy (it failed, but is still quite the interesting song none the less) and it was engineered a little different (the drum parts are kinda blended soft so it may be hard to find them). Anywho, enjoy :)

It's quite political, but I think it's quite funny. I made this just last night. Most of it is improvised btw:
For an improvised late night job it's not bad. I dont mind much political things and it is worthy of chuckle so, not bad :).

I decided to sample the actual hurdy-gurdy, the synth I tried to make out of it, and a few wave tones added in, made it sound a lot like a spacy jupiter 8 (not the actual thing mind you, because I dont have thousands to waste on gear that old), so I added chorus and delay to it and came up with this. Enjoy

That's actually very impressive. It sounds like SNES music when it is restored and cleared up, but it also has a bit of modern flare with the beat and the lax. I really like it.

It kinda is how SNES music is made. Beatmaker2 allows use of waveforms for a keyboard, add in single-cycle waves (which is how SNES music was made, but my waveforms are higher resolution) and you can make that type of music (you just gotta know how to detune the waves) just add MIDI sequencing and it can be made modernly :)

I'm wondering if any Kiwi musicians here are willing to record "The Spergs of A&N"?
I made an attempt at it and whooo boy... my voice sounds like shit no matter what song I attempt to sing (it's a major detriment because I hate my voice, it doesn't sound right, sounds muffled and "special ed") but an attempt was made. If you want to rate negatively, I understand completely

I must admit, it is interesting that you did it in more of a rap style as opposed to the jaunty Celtic folk tune the song is parodying, plus it's better than anything I could do so I'll give it a like

I'm not too familiar with Celtic folk music due to just not listening to it, and plus I thought it be a tad more interesting as sorta Celtic rap style type because the beat sounded more rap than jaunty again due to lack of understanding. But I'm happy you (begrudgingly) approved :) (dont mind me I just hate my voice in general)

Hey, I do like it and don't be so hard on yourself!

I really do think the idea of doing it as a rap was interesting and unique
