Kingdom Come Deliverance - Or how I stopped worrying about SJW and love Bohemia | Now with betrayal and a lot more niggers. "Historically accurate." BlackRock ruined the series.

Is this good open world with lots of hand crafted stuff or lazy open world where everything is procedurally bland?

It's a meticulously recreated area of bumfuck Bohemia, that leaves no room for procedural shenanigans. Thus far, I've not even noticed blatant asset reuse (smith workshops aside)... I mean, surely a lot of farmhouses are most likely just reused stock models (though I honestly couldn't say), but the important locations are all handcrafted (and where approriate) recreated from actual buildings irl. A bit of a shame the first couple hours drag you through a number of quests, cause the game really does invite you to go sightseeing.

Only an hour or so into the game, standout point so far is the fantastic music score and the fairly unique combat system.

Not sure if suck in hand-to-hand combat, but those sections feel a little too lengthy.

Also Divish sounds way too young.

From what I understand, the combat is meant to be screwy until you get far enough in to meet an actual teacher, which makes sense considering the main character is an illiterate goon who’s trying not to die.
Also, does anyone have any tips for when you’re starting out? I got the game at launch, but haven’t started yet because I keep trying to not suck at Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Pretty much that.
When your stats increase, it also becomes easier to fight. Not only does your stamina increase, but you can also learn how to do combos and stuff.
I mean, I still suck at combat, but it's really rewarding when you manage to defeat an enemy.

It depends, I can't yet give you a lot of advice in terms of long-term stategies.
But I'll give you one piece of advice: If a Priest called "Godwin" invites you for a drink... do it.

This is the only complaint so far, during my first horseback ride I kept trying to go offroad, which led to the expected end...

The rest, hunger and other survival features dont feel obtrusive at all.
I'm a few hours in and it seems the game now allows me to roam a lot more freely and I get the feeling that trend is going to continue. I guess they just put the player into a situation where they keep a tight grip on the protagonist during the prologue, so that he doesn't wander off and end up where he shouldn't yet be... also, the prologue is very emotional, allowing a player too much freedom might be bad for the tension and suspense.

As I said, it feels like the game is allowing me more freedom now and if that continues, it might be an interesting aspect of the story that for a certain time, you end up under the control of others, which kind of highlights the protagonists situation and how he slowly regains his independence.
But in order to really contemplate that, I need to see how this all pans out.

Well, I've been glued to it ever since release and here's what I've learned:

1. Level up your speech. Combat is difficult even quite a distance into the game because you've only gone from normie to normie with some training. If you can talk your way out of things, do so. You might think you're invulnerable because you managed to relieve a passing knight errant of his expensive plate armour but you aren't; bad guys with blunt weapons will fuck you harder than you thought possible.

2. Thieving is your friend and one of the best ways to make early game cashola.

3. Do the Dancing with the Devil quest in Ushitz. And get drunk with Father Godwin there as well. You'll be glad you did.

4. If you feel you're likely to have to impress someone, get your gear polished up and repaired, have a proper bath, and get your ashes hauled. The latter in particular gives you a status effect named "Alpha Male" which boosts your Charisma by +2 for the rest of the day due to feeling good, and being dirty and unkempt lowers your Charisma. Even if you paid for it. I'm pretty sure this bit was only put in to upset Resetera types.

5. Learn to read. Without it you won't be able to do alchemy and also you won't be able to use skill books (which are far better than sitting and waiting for that one NPC to arrive where you need them for a quest.)

6. There is nothing funnier than making the Witches' Brew and sticking it into the food of a bunch of Cumans when they're not looking, then watching them eat it and run around tripping balls. Apart from number 3 above.

Easily one of the best vidya moments I had in... several years, I think. Whoever came up with that idea deserves a fucking award.

It worth the 60 bucks at launch on console? I've been excited for this since like... 2014, but idk if the glitchiness on top of the normal eurojank is worth the price.

I haven't gotten far in the game but I will say this: When you reach Talmberg after running away, you will have to leave somehow, even though the commander doesn't want you escaping. One method of escaping can get you some decent armor (gambeson with a bascinet) if you have lockpicks though lockpicking is a bitch even on the easiest lock and you want to be careful not to get caught. It doesn't hurt to ask the Lady of Talmberg for advice when you want to escape (if you tell her you need to bribe, she will give you money).

Also when you return to your home village, you will get an obligatory encounter where you are suppose to lose to some evil jackass who steals the sword you made with your father.

Also, one thing to keep in mind is that there's the option to surrender during a fight when you press G.
That usually only works when you're already low on health, but it certainly is better than to die cause you took a fight with -say- 4 guys that are better equipped than you are.

The "Alpha male" status effect for scoring is applied inconsistently. You can get it by paying for a whore at a bathhouse, and also by having sexytime with Theresa in the barn, but not from the serving wench who you drunkenly bone on a night out with Father Gregor.

The main quest makes it look like you have no time to spend on the sidequests, but I think the moment you have to spy out that bandit camp it's best to first pick up some gear and skillpoints. Up to that point, it's not that big of a deal if you're not that high-level. Also, storywise, it doesn't make sense to dilly-dally instead of trying to keep as close to the bandits heels as possible, but the moment you know where the bandit camp is, it's a logical point to catch up on some seriously important skills and gear.

I am ten hours into the game I and really enjoy it. but I have some complaints.
1. The save snaps sounds good on paper but it is horrible in execution. I manged to waste my first three farily early in the game.
2. Lockpicking is bad as well. It doesn't suit well with mouse and keyboard.
It is still an amazing game and I am so glad that backed it. I also found a bunch of op gear in a camp so I am decked out in a suit of armour and have acess to op swords which I can't use yet. Beware any cumas that I come across.

Yeah, the Schnapps should be a lot cheaper and traders should have a lot more of them lying around. I mean, on average you pay 90 Groschen, sometimes you get it cheaper at bathhouses for like 60-70 (I bought a bottle off a roadside beggar for 10 Groschen).
Also, I mentioned before: I would like an alm-box in churches or maybe even at those shrines and crosses that litter the countryside, where you can just throw in a Groschen or two and have your Game saved. The way it is handled now does work, but it also leads to a bit of frustration, especially early on, when you're not that rich yet.

But even with a bit of jank adding to the challenge of the game, it does feel so incredibly rewarding when you manage to kill a guy or get through some situation.

To be fair, how much do you think he remembers from that quest? It doesn’t follow up, does it?

Someone should just literally release a game called "There Were No Niggers in Medieval Bohemia."
