Baldur's Gate 3 never advertised itself as "based" though and Swen Vincke is polar opposite to Daniel Vavra in terms of PR. BG3 never had a cadre of online reviewers marketing the game as something it wasn''t like Worth A Buy. You knew there was a bear sex scene in it somewhere. You knew there was a twink vampire in it. The marketing for BG3 was worlds different from the "historically accurate" 15th century Bohemia made by man with "based" shirt.
It is the difference between a guy telling you he is Pufty le gay and inviting you to his house, against a guy who swears he only wants to straight bro grill with you and yet his weiner is out the moment the door closes. The latter will always be a more shocking revelation.
It's depressing, if the Chinese are playing this in number then they already find it appealing for whatever reason, making the next game have a Chinatown or having some chinky vendor is only going to harm the verisimilitude even further...and I don't understand why people don't understand this.
Having a Chinese merchant come from Silk road would still be less implausibly than King Wewuz.

It's worth noting, too, that it is already working with the incredibly gay and stupid Forgotten Realms setting. Nigger elves, gay elves, elves who become gay nigger bears, that's all shit that is perverse but largely at home in a fantasy setting. Also, Baldur's Gate is designed around the freedom of player choice, and if you like, you can kill these people.

Kingdom Come is far more insidious as it is billing itself as a historically accurate simulation of Bohemia in the 15th or whatever century, and is actively propagandizing to you with real groups of people who make your life tangibly worse in the real world.

I am not likely to be actually raped by a gay man who can shape shift into a bear in real life. I am very likely to be a victim of Jewish trickery or a Muslim, however.

D&D and tabletop in general were lost to the pozz long ago. BG3 never had a chance. People like to blame Critical Role, but I think their fate was sealed long before.

Bioware reaching light speed on the slippery slope pretty much influenced every Western RPG as well. Despite making mainstream games, they somehow accrued a fanbase of tumblr-types and started making games for them.
 
Okay, I just did the mission where you break Hans out of the castle. FUCK THAT MISSION. Nothing pisses off more than forced steath in games with bad stealth mechanics. I literally had to cheese it by funneling the enemies down a narrow passage and master striking each one to death.
That part would've been improved 100x if it was a) the starting mission and b) the time limit was over the course of a few days. likewise there would be several other misc quests condensed to that area. I even don't care what kind of contrivance you have to make to get one of them in jail it couldn't possibly be any more contrived than the dozen others already leading up that moment alone.

What's worse is that I actually thought considering how short the window of time was to rescue him that if you didn't manage to do it in time the game would just think up some alternate story variation but no, the game just ends there and you have to reload...
 
Is it true you witness getting cucked by Musa from Katherine romance? Haven't seen screenshots or videos yet.
Musa jokes with you he will take your love interest if you dont spend time with them, or if he is the better contender. He spends a lot of time with Katherine in the infirmary being very close to her, as both of them are also of the same age. So its quite clear which direction the game goes, she is forced on you and is in the cover art but there is barely any content that will drive the relationship atleast for Henry.

Plus Musa is not in the end cutscene lmao

I'm actually talking about the second time you have to break him out of Von Bergow's fortress after you meet Zizek and Von Bergow betrays you and takes Hans as his prisoner. It's near the end of the game. Both of these missions really soured my overall experience.

e: I've also noticed this game seams to veer off more than a few times into cinematics that Henry is in no way present to, I don't think the first game did that even once that I know of.

At the end of the game they force you to replay the TUTORIAL mission in its entirety, the one where youre godwin. There are 20 minute long cutscenes on either side as well. The last 5-6 hours of the game are 2-4 minutes of gameplay followed by 8-20 minute long cutscenes. It sucks so bad
 
I noticed that the dialogues in Kangz 2 are way too long. There is so much unecessary rambling that doesn't bring the story forward or convey new information. No wonder why the script is twice as long compared to the first game.
 
I laugh when they posted that they have 172739595927191 lines of dialogue or whatever. Motherfucker i aint listening no flavor shit after you killed the historical aspect. Also im not reading shit.
 
I was curious about the AI dubbing, apparently the french dubbing uses AI as well, I haven't heard any AI in the czech dubbing, but I couldn't bring myself to finish the game, so idk. Some of the assets seemed like AI to me, but I think it was just because they are 3d for some retarded reason. My part-hungarian friend also told me that the cumans sound like they are non-native speakers and reading from an (incorrect) pronounciation guide, also, they are speaking "formal" hungarian and "sound like priests", he couldn't confirm or deny whether they use AI.
Most of the german voices are also either non native speakers or terrible voice actors that speak modern high german. With the cumans I can understand the fact they just decided to make them speak regular hungarian because the cuman language is lost to time but with the german voice actors they have no excuse.

Bad writers tend to think length of a work correlates to quality of a work. Not understanding the real skill is making the work good all the way through. That probably explains why Vavra is comparing himself to Tolkien. He thinks because he made something long it automatically makes it good.
 
I notice this after Synthetic Man is done with his game. It is like, after that part was done with him the game forgot about him entirely. Really just a token black character through and through.
That lends more support it was in fact a DEI quota thing. I bet at one point Vavra well sell the shitty way they handled the gay stuff and Musa as being 'based' and sticking it to the man.

In the first hour you get five different recaps

1) Some dialogue by the lake recapping the first game right before the ambush
2) Unskippable cutscene flashbacks recapping some more of the first game
3) Another vision with Henry and his dad
4) Yet another Dream sequence with Henry's Mom
5) And I think there's even some dialogue with the herbalist lady after that

Half that shit could be removed entirely and nothing would be lost. the second alone serves no purpose whatsoever, if the player hasn't played the first they'll still be confused by wtf is going and if the player has it's just wasting time.
 
Imagine unironically stanning for a game in which the main character eats feces or has to listen to some nigger say "dem white peeple dun season dey food".. Where did this bullshit originate from? Niggers do understand Italian and Greek cuisine exists right?
