That said, I do not buy the argument that Japanese apologists use that supposedly their sex crime rate is extremely low. I would strongly suspect social incentives not to report or to just deal with it. However, for obvious reasons this is unprovable.

Whilst I think there's truth to that, I can't help but wonder if societal standards absent of the law itself is why they didn't bother raising them until recently. For example, I don't think Germans are routinely having sex with 14 year olds despite the law permitting them to. They don't because they know it's not right and the law hasn't been touched because the population self-corrected without the enforcement of the law. My willingness to believe the Japs aren't raping kids all the time because I think like whites, their society and culture progressed. In the UK, the grooming gangs were composed of those from a culture who either stagnated or regressed into finding such acts acceptable. But this is all a hypothesis. Japan does have a serious problem with underreporting sexual crimes.

It is becoming very apparent that this game wasn't playtested properly, so I am not surprised. I can only assume that Warhorse and Embracer bet that this would sell solely because there is still nothing quite like KCD1 on the market, therefore no competition(unless you count Veilguard or Avowed as such). You can't say they're wrong, the game didn't sell well for a AAA title but it definitely has it's core audience of shit eaters who will unquestionably play it and defend it no matter what, even if it means they have to defend pedophilia and broken game mechanics.

im getting the basics, but the issue is everything gets blocked, and stamina is hard to manage in comparison to something like Skyrim, ill give it time to get used to it and I just met the guy who can train you in combat at the Gypsy Camp. im about 5-6 hours in and so far everything is enjoyable except for that

That statistic is kinda misleading because the age of consent for anyone over 18 in Germany is 16. Only teenagers under 18 can legally have sex with other teenagers under 16.

I am still early in the game and havent noticed a shit ton of woke bs, so far my biggest issues with the game are combat and the clunkiness of the menus, guess they decided to hide the faggy parts for later which I suspect might become a more common thing in the game industry given the increasing backlash to this shit, encountering something I disagree with in game wont immediately make me uninstall but pretending as if a Medieval Catholic is going to respect Jewish burial rites is delusional and funny.

Why is Hans complaining at the end of Jewdom Kangz 2 that he was being treated like a brat (referring to events at the start of the game) if he is an adult man? Because he ISN'T an adult! He was underage in the first game and still is in Kangz 2 because it takes place just a few weeks or months after Kangz 1. He was being treated like a brat because he was one. He was a bratty 15 year old. He grows mentally during the game but he is still underage. Hell, the word brat and bratty are used for kids.

With this as evidence, adulthood in Czech begins at 15. When Vavra says "there are no children in KCD" then he means anyone under 15 years old. Right? He needs to say what he means. Why can he not say "Hans is 18" and that solves this? It is very strange why doesn't be clear. But even if this is how this works Czech this is not the way it works in other countries. If a person who is depicted as or presents the appearance of being less than 18 years of age in sexually explicit visual material, that is considered a criminal offense. So even if 15 is legal in Czech, the game should still be banned.

crimes in japan are underreported in general, but it still ignores society at large. getting outed as a child abuser, even if not persecuted, will have much different effect there than in birmingham, uk.
laws about age also depend about the context like romeo & juliet laws, and it's an area where the circumstances matter. by the legal definition two teens under the age of consent having sex is technically still statutory rape.

besides that local age of consent doesn't always matter, us federal law considers it a crime to travel for the purpose of sex with a minor for every us citizen, wherever it's committed. travelling abroad isn't a protection.

anyway it's a complex topic, that's why most people stay clear and don't include it in the first place whatever they're producing. vavra putting it in and defending it is a weird battle to choose.
