Thanks for the recs, need to watch/rewatch these. Seen Anvil not that long ago and was struck by how lolcowish the whole thing was, it comes down to validation with these people or perceived lack-of. The lead singer of anvil was an absolute nightmare to watch and I felt sorry for the drummer more than once till I realized he was 50 and dressed like a fucking heavy metal retard still. There’s a number of cool Trappped documentaries/adjacent documentaries/mockumentaries.
Carts of Darkness:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=zi-f_J6hV-gHomeless men turn bottle collection into an extreme sport culture by dangerously bombing down hills with stolen shopping carts.
My Brother, Which I Care For (Trappped):
https://youtube.com/watch?v=sK9XfgDse4ETwo brothers on the spectrum chase around and document emergency vehicles just because they love them. These two have interacted with Cobra before. One of them shits in a baseball field for some reason.
FUBAR:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=qi5KRoPLM-MTwo Canadians who are basically Cobra live together and get hammered every day. Hilarity is bountiful.
Dark Days:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9zxPozP4yoMHomeless people who lived in underground tunnels in New York, circa 1990.
Anvil! The Story of Anvil is great but it’s not on YouTube. You’ve gotta sail some high seas for that gem.
Id add I think we are only now to the list of kf adjacent documentaries.
