I think even he has the presence of mind to know that he can do better. You hear little hints of it here and there when he talks about her. I think he feels a sense of loyalty to her because she flew out twice and ended the dry spell, but her personality and her behavior are going to negate any goodwill she might've earned. I think he will eventually come to the realization that he can find someone who's closer and not as insane, or he will just begin the dry spell anew. I don't think he's going to be able to tolerate her long-term. People with autism generally don't like too much sensory stimulation, especially the kind she produces.

In the past when cobes has broken dry spells he's usually satisfied for a good year or two before he starts worrying about it again. I think TWU right now.

The only reason it will drag out is cause she only stays a week at a time then leaves. If he had to deal with her 24/7 it would end much sooner.

Him getting the bigger place will deff be the time she "gets a flight canceled" again or somehow ends up stuck there for whatever reason...IF she hasn't already found a way to convince Josh she stays next time she goes out. I keep thinking it can't get any worse than the last time but she will probably always surprise me.

I think Cobes is more successful than Ralph at this point.

Good relationship with his dad, no felonies, will soon own his own clocktowered trailer, no permanent exile in a rented Mexican shack due to unpaid child support and civil judgments...

A couple of months ago trapped, the creator the Gothic King Cobra documentary, did a rare screening and Q&A at a small art house theater in New York. Earlier today the Q&A finally got uploaded.

Here's my summary of some of the more interesting information:
  • Was only 18-19 when he filmed the documentary
  • Doesn't really keep up with Josh but heard about him destroying his sex doll
  • Guy who organized the screening tried to have Josh call in after the screening but couldn’t get a hold of him
  • Wanted to capture the feeling of the setting of Caspar as a character
  • Said that a documentary made about Josh now would be something that he’s not interested in because it lacks the juvenile charm of old Josh
  • Said he still makes videos but doesn’t publish them in any public way
  • Trapped was planning on making another documentary about fedsmoker. He was apparently in contact with him but unfortunately he passed away
  • Has no current plans for any more documentaries
  • Said ideally he doesn’t ask any questions in his documentaries but would have to occasionally ask Josh questions
  • Said the very first video he saw of Josh was of him talking about his made up religion
  • Had a conversation for a couple of hours with Clint in his and Josh’s driveway
  • Josh told him that the documentary was good
  • Said that Josh would open up a lot more once he started drinking
  • Someone asked if he feels some sort of guilt over how Josh is today. Trapped responded that he feels absolutely no guilt whatsoever
  • Someone asked if he tries to have empathy when he captures his subjects. Trapped responded that “he doesn’t feel like ever talking about empathy”
  • Didn’t want to change anything about it but hasn’t seen it since he made it
  • Apparently cut out a scene of Josh talking to Clint
  • Wanted to cut out anything that presents too much of a question
  • Made sure to include as much footage of Josh smoking as possible
  • Said that he stopped editing after MDE World Peach got canceled. Someone asks did the cancellation was what prompted him to stop but said that it was just because it was a wild time
  • Talked a little bit about the hampow documentary. Mentioned that he’s actually friends with them (he’s in a couple of videos on their channel) unlike Josh and talks to them on a daily basis. Said that the “reveal” at the end of the documentary was completely natural and wasn’t coaxed in any way
  • Doesn’t fuck around with the term “lolcow”. Says it’s probably good that he’s a part of lolcow culture
  • Is a fan of ulillillia and thinks Chris is interesting but doesn’t watch him
I can’t imagine how kino a trapped documentary on fedsmoker would have been.

I always had a feeling this was the case. People would ask Joel back in the day if he was ever interested in doing a sequel and he never gave a reason why. It makes sense. A modern documentary on Cobes would be fucking bleak. Just hours and hours of him ranting about trolls into his phone and blacking out. Would have none of the charm of the old days.
 
Man I gotta go back and watch Trapped again. It really is absolute kino. Back when the gothic bad boy was just an eccentric goober with a glimmer in his eyes instead of a slowly rotting boglim. Before the entitlement and "famous yootoober" attitude took a hold and his addictions went unchallenged. If anything cobes is a cautionary tale of the human condition. Becoming driven only by pride and vice is MDNWU kiwis. (:_(
