Josh wouldn't have made the trip. We all miss Josh but most of the criticism of him was accurate. He just drank all day and refused to leave his comfort zone. Was is egged on by the trolls: Yes. But ultimately he made his choices :(

Yeah. Somewhere, Clint had mentioned how getting Josh to do ANYTHING that wasn't already ingrained was horrible, and Josh resisted it. I doubt you could get him on a plane- people had to drive out to pick him up for the Ozzy concert, and they barely made the second half of that because Josh was being Josh.

It would have been wonderful for him to have seen more of the world. I'm still angered by how people went out of their way to fuck with him, when he was just a harmless doofus (except to hats) who believed he had supernatural powers.

He was very afraid of flying according to Clint. I cannot image him going through security in the airport also, it would require him to take off all his trinkets, dog collars, mall ninja shit.

He was going to london to visit big ben just like he was going to win the lottery. He was not originally a shut-in, but years of unchecked enabled addictions, alogs, trolls, and free money turned him into a hermit. If he had a strong male role model who actually spent time with him doing healthy things, not meth with warload or coke and weed with scotty, he might have remained social and active.

That's something we just won't know. Darf was a good peer, but he had his own life to live. Clint tried to coddle Josh, but he still did what Josh does- however you want to take that. There were YEARS of photos, including recent ones on the celebration of life video, of Josh and his family- the Josh, Clint, Tannis that we never knew.

Due to Josh's ODD, and his knowledge that as an adult he could do what he wanted, he actually locked Clint out a few times. Clint claims that's how he learned borders, and yes, I believe that statement that he knew he had to accept Josh as he was.

If he was even forced to ride bike, rather than doordash, he would probably still be alive just due to his body not sitting and rotting eating the worst slop known to man.

I remember when Mr. Green came to visit him, it was so clear what a NORMAL human male could have done to help Cobes improve, simply by being friendly and normal.
Imagining him getting a social worker to help him do what he needed to be a functional adult, rather than him relying on Clint and Tanis and by extension his paypiggies. He could've led a simple but satisfying life. Maybe not at a dish pit in a bar or cleaning the lobby at Wendy's, he could've focused on the things that made him happy like his music or his wands.
Do weed on occasion, drink in moderate amounts whenever he'd be at a concert or other event. He self-medicated for a lot of reasons, he was deeply depressed and actively wanted to die, and sure he also just liked drinking (I call bullshit on that one, we all know he was a sissy when it came to actually ingesting the alcohol) but you can drink at social events and still be a functional human being.

This is all copium, and me projecting onto a man I never knew personally

No you are correct. He had no male role model besides celebrities. A strong male role model who spent time with him, taught him things, especially a work ethic, would have changed his life dramatically.

He is also insanely gullible, tactical soap is one of the many perfect examples of how incredibly stupidly gullible he was. I understand the but muh ODD claims, but if you could not beat Cobra in a battle of the minds than you also are retarded. Clint had no problem convincing him he was an alien. A male role model who actually helped him obtain things, by earning it, would have radically changed his life. I do not count darf, he is neither strong in mind nor body and he is fucking weird.

Plus, a social worker who knows how to deal with ODD surely exists. I don't know much about Casper, Wyoming much less the states as a whole, but ODD isn't some untreatable mental disorder. You can learn to live with a great deal of disorders, if not outright cure yourself from disordered thinking.

I commend Clint for actually trying to do right by his boy in his earlier years, but it was pretty obvious that as soon as he was on his own Clint would rather simply enable his oldest instead of cutting off the withering limb. I don't think Clint himself could have done much more for his son, on his own, but I wish I knew whether or not he had tried anything beyond "going back to school" and job corps.

Oh well, it's just because I haven't found a way to fill the boglim shaped hole in my daily routine that I keep looping about him. Deliciously ironic, toobz.
