Can we talk about Cobes and his chunky gothic rings? I've seen tons of random comments in this thread over the years clowning about how they were cheap pot metal garbage, and some of them likely were (especially the ones that faded/ended up on chain around the neck duty), but honestly if you're into chonky gothic/biker jewelry, some of those fuckers get expensive and hard to track down.
Like one time I saw someone post about (paraphrasing here) "his shitty serpent's forge rings", and those are fucking pricey. You're better off finding some SE Asian shop on Etsy to do occult rings, you'll save some money. Serpent's Forge stuff is super expensive (despite being done in SE Asia and then just imported THROUGH Australia via their pricing but I digress toobs).
Or like the gothic claw/armor rings, yeah when you start out and buy a pot metal one from hot topic (or nowadays temu) yeah they're basically tinfoil, but actual goth sterling silver claw/armor rings were made in the heyday of all that, and still float around on the secondary/collectors market, and they're fucking EXPENSIVE as fuck. A lot of sterling is a lot of sterling if you can prove it via markings/acid testing.
As much as everyone laughed at his bling, there's not a horrible chance some of it was expensive/pricey, and probably up there with how much he spent on food/booze. Kind of a hoodrich perspective as it were. (Same thing when he'd do stupid shit like smash a guitar and pay to have it rebuilt, or break a gun and pay to have it rebuilt). Cobes was the King of wasting money in silly ways.
Haha yeeeeth, same greasy t shirt from 3 months ago, and $1000 dollars of silver on my fist, that's what's up youtoob, it ain't no skin off my shoes!
