Agreed, I don’t know why this is a difficult concept for some people. Josh is a human and humans have both good and bad attributes.

I didn’t like the sound of him eating, it really grossed me out and I couldn’t watch but I didn’t hate him for it cause like you said he had other interesting or good qualities.

Everyone has things that people love and hate about them, people are never completely one thing or the other.

There’s shit my friends do that piss me off but I don’t then throw everything else about them out because of that one aspect.
 

Just got recommended this. I'm conflicted about it, i hate "lolcow content" on Youtube because it's mostly slop, but i also hate this guy moralfagging on the subject.

Edit: I don't know who to hate more, the people who were making shitty content on Josh when he was alive or the vultures wanting to use his death to gain subscribers. There are plenty of retards out there that moralfags could "save", they don't do shit.
It's the reason why i like this place, no gayops, no nothing, just people watching weird internet people and talking about it amongst themselves. We can't save these people, there's nothing we can do, but not trying to fuck with retards by giving them alcohol or making them do shit they don't wanna do is still better than actively trying to insert yourself into these people's lives.

The sign of a true alcoholic. He'd always say something to the effect of so-and-so "is a worse alcoholic than I am," or "I'm a functional alcoholic" or "I don't need to drink everyday." Anyone, and I mean ANYONE whose ever struggled with substance abuse has probably said that at one point or another knowing damn well they are lying. The hardest thing is admitting it, cliche as that sounds.

About a month before his passing I decided to check out one of his latest "drink combo" videos and was completely aghast at the pours Cobes was doing for his drink mixes. 75% Everclear to like 25% mixer. A recovered alcoholic myself, even at my rock bottom I would never mix them that strong. His hangovers had to have been epic. Any alkie knows that when you mix hard liquor with sugary drinks or juice you will be in for the worst type of hangover (as hangovers go. Yes, we rank them). When I saw that video I knew it would only be a matter a time unless someone stepped in and got him professional help

We saw how long it took copes to admit he was losing his hair. By the time he admitted to having a drinking problem he was already really far gone.

not to keep harping on like everyone else but it's still just so crazy he's gone, i'm sure every one of us expected a bottoming out like this and then would come the hospital/recovery/AA saga...but that was it.

How often did you drink? I can't imagine how often you'd need to drink to get like Cobes, i used to drink heavily and i couldn't do more than twice a week because i needed to recover from hangovers. Drinking fucking sucks, i've stopped drinking since June last year and i've been hitting the gym at least 3x a week, my health has never been better.

Cobra was a quintessential cow. He gave us a window into his life and we watched him like a zoo attraction. Obviously some retards are going to tap on the glass. We're still making fun of cobra here and there, because he was an eccentric and frustrating guy, but most of the people here were not mean spirited or "trolling". Josh could be a slow cow at times, so rather than tuning in live it was common to just see the clip channels.

To me it's like when you poke fun at your buddy in a loving way, then when he dies you regret it. It was harmless and joking. Just because you mess with your bud doesn't mean you wanted the worst for them.

That still hurts, too. He was sick, and he tried to get help with the Facebook video, and... He couldn't.

There are no more attempts to get clean.

Which is why so many of us are calling out the a logs that show up. We know what the Farms is and don’t want Redditors coming trying to make their opinion of us the correct one.

I know at least one person found the Farms through a cow calling it a tranny death site, then showed up and realized it’s nothing like that and actually way more moral in the treatment of cows than Reddit and other sites. They can say whatever they want about us, but we still have a far higher standard and regard for human life than them.

this! to me cobes was like a friend i would check on every week or so. i never wished him ill, i never texted him, and i never bought anything from him because i didn't want to feed his addiction. just because i come here to talk about him and laugh at stupid shit he would do, doesn't mean i didn't feel a strong bond to a person i never fucking met. as problematic as parasocial relationships can be for some, he was my buddy, someone i always wanted to get better, and someone i'm mourning deeply.
 
This thread’s been moving so fast I can barely keep up, so apologies if this has already been mentioned, but has anyone else noticed how many people are talking about Cobes without even knowing who he is?
