As she threatened, Kim posted another Kickstarter. However, her goal was even lower this time. When her previous Kickstarter failed, she mentioned possibly doing one for 400 dollars so as to get all the pledges her previous effort had received.
Apparently even that modest sum was a bit too pie-in-the-sky... or, to be more accurate, had a non-zero chance of also failing and thus depriving Kim once again of money she admitted to not even needing with which to finish a game she said was essentially already done.
It looks like she decided to go with an even more modest (and weirdly arbitrary) goal of $234 (edit: apparently this translates to 300 Canadian dollars and so isn't completely random) and I am "happy" to report that she met her goal yesterday!

With this, Kim seems to have found the key to Kickstarter scamming: set a low initial goal you know you'll meet and then you'll get to keep whatever amount does end up getting donated.
