Payday 3 is still a steaming pile of shit too. These game companies should skip 3 and go right to 4. Seems to be an unlucky number

Its a lot of sequels to older games are big piles of shit right now. No more room in hell 2 is a sequel that turned into a gay live "service" game like payday 3 and kf3. Its also a huge pile of garbage.

It was fun back in the day until it becomes exactly like every other game that just exponentially increases health on enemies so you either play the game exactly how they want you to play it or you just get one shot by stuff you can't react to.

I try not to be mad at the Internet, but I get so tired of the retarded gaming audience. These retards keep accepting worse products at worse prices, and microtransactions. The people who buy KF3 get the game they deserve. It's sad but good for my bank account. I get to stack my money yet again because modern games are worse than the games I already own.

It really is a race to the bottom between how financially solvent these retards are, and how greedy and lazy the corporations are.

Doesn't look like much has changed since the "beta". Still runs like shit, still looks like shit. What have they been doing?
They keep promising to fix things post-launch. Meanwhile I see more and more people defend the studio and the game, saying that KF2 was like that too, completely ignoring that KF2 was in Early Access and made by different devs.

That's what I don't like in CoD Zombies. I'd rather have more zombies each wave than being resistant to headshots.

The devs have posted a roadmap for this and next year.
They are working on new features like text chat.

so that's why gaben hasn't made half life 3 then...

nmrih is right up your alley then, not the 2 one, that is shit, avoid that, pick the 1st one.
We're fucked, aren't we?
more than you know.

Synchronizing a text chat would be small peanuts when contrasted to the game itself. I assume they have more work to do for the edge-case of someone spamming “NIGGER” and requiring moderation tools to handle such an event or risk causing a stir and upsetting the console PR handlers.

I like the MW2 approach of FFA squeaker on nigger mic spam.

In hindsight, I'd rather have a barebones EA with unparalleled polish weapons-wise. It's testament of something when your Early Access delivers such quality and fine-tuning that practically none of your core content got overhauled since (not even by the pajeets they outsourced DLCs to by the end).

The only polished thing KF3 offers currently is their MTX API. What kind of turbo consoomer believes that turning the lights down across your maps, and giving more screenshake to your ugly ass, uninspired game for months is "effort" from a studio using the same engine for their franchise for decades. What the fuck?

No text chat has made me curious, how long have games had it?

Well the earliest example i could find was "Habitat" an mmo made in 1986, for the fucking Commodore 64. This new unslop5 game is missing a basic feature that has been around for 39 years.

It has to be this, new games really REALLY don't want you talking shit. I tried siege again for the first time in 7 years and there's a whole reputation page that shows the draconian measures they take so you can't talk shit. I typed in chat about me fat fingering a key and IT WAS MARKED AS OFFENSIVE.
Remember when they wanted you to talk shit in games? This promo vid even shows gamers using a handy mute feature (only available on Xbox live) to mute someone talking shit. Why can't gamers be trusted to hide a chat or mute someone they don't wanna hear?

You can tell those people are tourists because KF2 was absolutely unacceptable as well. A single boss, three maps, and the introduction of loot boxes weren't exactly well-received by fans of the original. Even now years later with a ton of additions, people still take issue with the stylistic changes and move to the "moar firepowa" meta. I can count on a single hand the amount of times I got randoms to play around door traps.

There's things I like about KF3, but they don't make up for the issues. The gunplay to me honestly feels about the same, weapon visuals and sounds have always been kind of anemic compare to their impact. They really monkey paw'd me with the music. I complained about the Christian metal, so they just lifted tracks from KF1 and changed them up a bit. I complained about the bright sci fi aesthetic, so they made all the maps dark as shit. I complained about the trader being turned into a talking vending machine, so they turned it into a vending machine with even LESS character. I like the gore system when it works (the first time I canoe'd a Cyst, it felt great), but watching enemies spawn out of thin air in front of vents and grates in a t-pose or getting stuck in a death animation is jarring. I like the new enemy designs and the enemy density, but... where the fuck are my Stalkers? Don't even get me started on the fucking battle pass, but at least took a page from Arrowhead and made them permanent once you buy them. I can't decide if I hate it less because it's not a loot box, or if I hate it more because said loot box drops for the most part drop down to prices on the market that are cheaper than KF3's credit shop.

I got the game as a present from a friend for buying him Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 before he had the chance to get it spoiled for him and I still feel ripped off. I'm going to keep playing it with him and I'm going to try to not be sore sport unless he starts bitching. Fingers crossed they eventually get this game in an acceptable state, but if their "roadmap" is anything to go by, I'm not confident.
