Isopod: A Webbed Spin-off
Rating: mild - medium
this one is up for debate and admittingly i quit after the first level because im much less tolerant against this kind of stuff however i could see what this was turning into without having played much of the game. this game has a very heavy anti capitalist message, the main character (which is a fucking isopod) almost flat out says he hates capitalism and the first level opens by having an anarchist for some reason? ant protest of a corporation who wishes to take their land which is the main plot point of the narrative where this isopod has to team up with the ants against the capitalist fire ants who wish to use their land for production of natural resources. I think if you ignore the dialogue its actually a decently funny story and has some great gameplay for a platformer, however what made me choose to quit after finishing the first level is that there is a trader (pictured below) within the first level and despite this game being flatly anti capitalist it has a nu pride flag themed skin for the main character. the intense hypocrisy of a game having an anti capitalist message while supporting the degeneracy that modern day capitalism has allowed to exist is just too pathetic for me to ignore and thus i could not go on however good the gameplay was. all they had to do was hide the skin away at the bottom of the list or have it as a secret and name it the rainbow skin and remove the nigger and tranny colours off it but they just had to make it the corporate flag.
I dont have any photos of the dialogue as i just assumed it was a normal game with a slight tinge of anti greedy capitalist narrative but trust me the dialogue is extremely bad. you can do a anti corporate or even capitalist narrative well but this is not it this is just seething hatred from a fag whos very livelihood is enabled by that capitalist state it hates so much.

im a bit iffy on this one because i have no tolerance for this shit but i think if you are able to just ignore this its a fine game and only mild (tho in terms of gameplay i think slime rancher 1 was better)
the games decorations market features a corporate gay flag and when i played i believe it was one of the first items that your shown when you open the shop for the first time but this screenshot says otherwise so im not sure, i dont think slime rancher 1 had this but i also dont know for sure.
if you can ignore it im pretty sure this is the only gay shit in the gay other than the character being a brown woman but thats been there since the first game.

Now for the sequel. Outer Worlds 2
I only consider it Medium, but it is superficially High.
Lots of female and visual minority authority figures, but they're often extremely flawed people. It does not have the idiot male boss genius female underling problem of the first game.
The ultracapitalist faction can be evil exploiters, but this time they're fighting against equally bad communists. The one somewhat good faction, the Order are academics with their head in the cloud.
An unnatural lack of any relationships in the setting. No "her wife" but also no "her husband". Microsoft was playing this very safe I guess. No trans characters either.
The ubiquitous body type A and B are there, but the default character is a fucking WHITE MALE. There's bionics and peglegs, but no villigo. Females can finally have long hair
The peaceful option can easily have bad consequences, so it isn't woke in a pacifist way.
There are zero European male companions (two in OW1), and the only non-hispanic White character starts off as a murderhobo. That being said, they're all well written and non-idealised.
So I wouldn't personally rate it Heavy but you might. I'd be cool with a teenage boy playing this without becoming self hating, browbeaten or indoctrinated.

Its just an extraction shooter, the 5 NPC Vendors are one-note and irrelevant, everyone else in game is another player.
It does have mix and match body/heads, but they are so hard to differentiate and all so bland/ugly I can't chalk much up here, you will never see or care beyond hearing female or male shout-out lines if they don't have a mic.

So I'm cross posting this from the Dragon Quest thread since we don't seem to have a general GamerGate-style "wokeshit in games" thread? But yeah:
So, long story short, Square Enix had a bunch of layoffs recently, and it appears it wasn't just layoffs.
They fired this freak, the head of FF14's localization who may have been involved in the "writing" and VA casting of the latest expansion, which has been an unmitigated disaster and basically has set the MMO back 7+ years (if not outright killed it):
(tl;dr: They forced this god awful furry bitch into the game as the not-main character that the entire expansion revolves around you following around, who in the US they had voiced by a tranny, which was so bad they had to have the tranny come back multiple times to re-do voice lines in later hotfixes and updates. Supposedly, that was Kate's idea.)
They also laid off John Heinecke, the head of localization across all of Square Enix USA. (Officially, he quit hours before the layoffs happened I guess?) He was the guy who would tell people to fuck off when they complained about wokeshit being added to localizations and bragged about manipulating the Japanese CEO to push his political agenda.
So far, so good, right? Well, there is more. They also got rid of Haruguchi Yusuke, who was a Japanese-American (or Japanese who went to California to go to school?) who bragged about globalizing the Japanese localization division and forcing the devs to pre-censor games so the localization team wouldn't have to do it:
So this APPEARS to be them doing a major purge of their DEI / Globalist shit not just in the US but also in JP.
Given that Japan has rejected their woke lefty government that wanted to import infinite jeets and that the last living creator of Dragon Quest went on a live interview last year (? year before last?) mocking the wokeshit changes they forced him to make to Dragon Quest 3, realistically one of the last games he's going to get to make... maybe they've finally realized they're being told bullshit by whatever Sweet Baby-ish consulting firm has been manipulating these companies? Not sure.

Grad interviews with Tokyo U students show they're about as woke and corrupted as Toronto U, or so they say. No idea if they finally made inroads to Japan via corrupting academia or not. I'm venting my frustration here since I just found out they updated Pacific Drive so if it detects that you've removed the pride and BLM stickers the game won't boot to the main menu. That's so insanely petty and insecure that you have to go that hard to make sure your gay nigger fag shit is shoved into the face of everyone that plays the game up to the point you unlock the decal machine.
