I haven't played either game, but from what that article comments tell us the plotlines of both sound incredibly shit.

Is this some new-meta storytelling where writers intentionally tell awkward, expectation subverting wank so faggots can feel clever?

You got to remember; the woke are the literal most brain-damaged retards alive. ANYTHING that calls itself a "subversion of normalcy" is seen is good, regardless of what it actually is; ironically, their obsession with subverting things has become the new norm these days.
 
Their previous game Returnal is a surprising None.

While you'd think it would be significantly more woke due to the main character being an old looking female astronaut. But it's all an elaborate Dementia metaphor, which is actually a decent take on the roguelike infinite respawn.

Also the bitching about women’s teams. That’s not a woke inclusion. They exist. They literally have their own World Cup. It’s not like other games where there is baseball and softball. Both men’s and women’s football have the same rules.

I am not bitching about the actual soccer players if that's what you understood.
I just think more than half the supporting staff and fanbase of each soccer team being portrayed as super diverse is a little "on the nose". That's all

The women's teams themselves are not a woke element. That's also not what I was trying to say with that.
I personally don't care about women's soccer much, and also don't think the female player models look too great in the pre-rendered cutscenes they're playing on the menu splash screens. Uncanny valley vibes - hence my lol.

Wait, you write that? I thought that was copied from RPGHQ; the site that is currently saying that I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is woke because Harlan Ellison added that one of the characters was a Nazi.

Your complaints about the slapdash addition of diverse audiences and women are valid, but I don’t think it’s wokeness. The publisher is EA, so it’s more likely that they just gave every team the same kinds of background npcs and lazily incorporated the women as players.

Hard disagree. The protagonist is an ugly Karen that was specifically designed to be an ugly Karen by an elite committee of woketards. I guarantee you an inordinate amount of time was spent getting her looks just right to repel the male gaze (and costumer's wallets).

What an absolutely moronic take.

Nobody on the planet gives a flying fuck about women's soccer or their World Cup. I don't think anyone would notice if they all stopped playing.

Game companies didn't feel the need to include the clown league for the past 50 years of soccer games existing, and only did it in the past decade (well, 11 years, since they were introduced in Fifa 2016).

We all know why they did it, and it sure as fuck isn't to make the game better or to sell more nigger jpeg card packs.

And before you decide to argue back, if the motivation was money, and not inclusivity/virtue signaling, keep in mind that the likes of EA need to spend the same amount of time and effort licensing, scanning, modelling, tracking and grading the female players as they do the male ones, despite none of the niggers and spics that play soccer slop giving a single shit about female players.

I know we're unlikely to see the sale data for male vs. female players/cards/packs, but I am morbidly curious to see just how heavily it skews towards the male athletes.
 
@regalterry Why would EA care if the people who dress actors buy the game or not?

I can’t imagine that’s a very profitable niche to cater to.

For their promotion of Returnal character they used the actor Gwendoline Christie from GOT. Where she played the strong whamen girlboss. The woketards like characters like this.

I modded in zero suit Samus, it actually worked better to play Returnal.
