My high school graduating class had FIVE sets of twins. They were all fucking weirdos.

My favorite are the two who went to the same college, had the same major, lived together in the dorms and still live together as single 30-somethings.

What rare disease does she have that causes her eyes to be on the sides of her fucking head? Also that is a very very high hairline for a relatively young women.
I want to know the scientific reasoning behind a large amount of mentally deficient or handicapped people having lazy eyes. It's such an unattractive feature that you rarely see in put-together people.

I knew two pairs of incestuous identical twins growing up. Granted that's a small sample size but I think essentially having a clone of yourself has a higher chance of leading to weird shit.

It's not scientific, but if you're into energy healing and shit like that, then a blown out brow chakra would explain Kelly's lizard eyes.

Emotional imbalances are held in the body near the corresponding chakra. IE, people who are repressing their true opinions or feel they can't speak up about something might feel a tightness in their throat near the fifth chakra. Kids with a guilty conscience get tummy aches near the third chakra, etc.

Your sixth chakra, the "third eye" between your brows, holds your vision, intuition, perception, imagination, etc. An imploded third eye would result in closed-mindedness, dullness, etc-- and would look like mean, dead, beady little eyes. Not necessarily "small" eyes physically, but you know it when you see it. (Chantal Saurault comes to mind.)

Think of Mr Burns. He has a hump/caved in chest, like his heart is imploded and small. His forehead is big and juts forward-- analytical, logic and math more important than feelings-- but his eyes are half-closed compared to other Simpsons characters, because he's closed-minded and doesn't want to see any truth that doesn't serve him. He was designed based on commedia del arte, not with chakras in mind, but the traits are spot on. A lot of cartoon characters are like that. Superman has a big, heroic puffed out chest (big heart) with an open face (open mind) but tiny little feet that literally float off the ground (disconnected from family of origin.) Whereas Batman tends to be drawn with his heart collapsed, his vision obscured by his cowl and his eyes not visible (closed minded), and his cape pulling him down and connecting him to the earth in a big protective veil (TOO connected to family of origin.)

ANYWAY. In contrast to an imploded third eye, an exploded one is associated with hallucinations, delusions, and complex mental illness, and results in a "crazy eye" look. The bulging eyes and that thing where you can see the white above/below the pupil (I forget the word- sanpuku?). With chakras, that would mean the person's perception is all fucked up. They're seeing too much of their own imagination and feelings and not enough real stuff. A lazy eye would mean the person is not "seeing straight" in their life.

Chakra stuff is really interesting, especially if you're a performer or artist, IMO. I think it's also really useful for therapy, if you're trying to get out of a rut or deal with old unresolved issues. Like a helpful metaphor. But it's not science.

Basically, the link between mental deficiency/illness and wonky eyes is not imaginary, but I suspect scientifically it might just be a coincidence? Because lots of people with wonky eyes are not nuts. (...I assume.) In the case of lazy eyes, a non-nutso person would do the things they need to do to correct it, because it can improve their life. Someone like Kelly would neglect it, of course.

Everyone interested in twin stuff, I highly recommend a Netflix documentary called "Tell Me Who I Am." It's about a pair of British boy twins. The younger one gets amnesia as a teenager and gets to forget years of insane amounts of sexual abuse, while the older one has to decide if/what to tell him. Even though they're identical, as adults you can instantly tell which one remembers just by the lines on his face.

It seems the common denominator I'm Kelly and Russell's story was being separated from their twin. I wonder if Kelly wanting attention from the other parent sparked some of this?
It is pretty fucked up to separate them if what Kelly says about it is true. What, were the parents like “Yeah, we are divorcing, you take one and I’ll take the other.” That’s a pretty messed up thing to do to kids, even siblings who aren’t twins. I’m sure it had something to do with Kelly’s issues but her issues go much deeper. Plus we don’t see this happening in Gina’s case, so I think Kelly just drew the short straw on mental health.

I'm fairly sure it's due to the development that made them handicap/deficient in the first place. Weakened muscles or simply stunted development of eye muscles where the brain has some retardation.

Being a twin will not always or definitely screw you up, I knew a couple sets of twins in high school and they turned out fine.

But having an identical twin going through a mental health crisis is a special kind of hell. I knew a set of identical twins where one became schizophrenic in early high school. And the flat-affect, disordered thought and speech, disordered emotions type of schizo that almost seems like autism or retardation. He'd been completely normal up to this point.

He used to snap and beat on his saner brother. Who was also terrified, as well as his parents, that he would get schizo too. (The chances are 50 50 with a schizo twin)

Eventually the saner twin had his own meltdown, and had to get some pretty serious counselling. (He's doing better now) Because there is nothing more horrifying than seeing someone that you grew up with, someone that looks just like you, someone you know was cloned from you, going crazy.

A few weeks back I had a look through Ginas Instagram photos, particularly looking for ones with Kelly. Some of the hashtags she used had me wondering about their dynamic. Some of them, and comments, came across as snarky or didn't sit right somehow. Bitchy or competitive, just a feeling Gina sees herself as better and Kelly believes it. I only know a bit about their relationship, but I have been curious. Then again, I don't have any sisters, so maybe that's pretty normal/not uncommon.
It makes sense that a functioning adult who has been chained to a constant emotional vampire since their days in-utero would view herself as better than Kelly. Kelly is awful on every single level. Kelly should think Gina is better because Gina is in fact better. Kelly has no redeeming qualities and there is no chance for improvement that doesn’t involve euthanasia. The nicest thing I can think of to say about her is at least she realized her mysteriously ill pet arc wouldn’t work and she didn’t kill her cat. It is miraculous that after every stunt Kelly has pulled Gina still speaks to her and limits her understandable expressions of anger to a bit of online passive aggression.

In BC they will expect her to do rehab and to live at home with some home health support. LTC spots are scarce, but even beyond that, the expectation for people who are otherwise healthy but have lost limbs or who are paras/quads is to live at home. Obviously that applies less to people who have literally picked their own legs off, but that's not a common situation and I don't think there's a protocol for it, so to speak. This handout is from Kelly's Health Authority. That's assuming they didn't have her get it done in VGH; If she was with VGH she'll go through GF Stong I guess, at least as long as she's in Vancouver. https://www.interiorhealth.ca/YourC...826395 - Life after lower limb amputation.pdf

You can 100% disconnect yourself from pain you're inflicting upon your own body?

1. #sexworkisempowering prostitutes do this all the time in order to sell their bodies, then end up in ER.

2. It is easier when it is self-inflicted. Think about the old adage "you can't tickle yourself".

She never lost the ability to walk. I’m sure it was extremely painful, but she could still use her legs.
She never lost sensation in her feet, true, but walking is a controlled fall with load-bearing. There was no way she could stand up once the bone started to rot.

Amblyopia, the official name for a lazy eye, is common in autistic children. Strabismus (cross-eyed) is more common though, and across the board strabismus sweeps all the prizes as a mental illness indicator.

As far as anecdotal arguments go, lazy eyes are a poor measure of mental acuity or lack thereof. Paris Hilton is the most famous case, and she's more of a carefully cultivated bimbo brand image than actual window licker.

You can 100% disconnect from physical pain you anticipate. Your brain shuts down and dissociates, or kick itself into overdrive to ensure that you have the physical and mental wherewithal to run away or defend yourself.

For similar reasons, you cannot tickle yourself because your brain anticipates it.

I have heard very specially trained soldiers can also do this to resist torture, and similarly for boxers but I don't know enough about either. What I have seen a lot of is prostitutes (legal in my country) and domestic violence victims doing this.

Visual problems of many kinds are very common in people with intellectual disabilities; pretty common in autistic people even without intellectual disabilities too. A link between certain kinds of vision issues (including lazy eye) and later developing schizophrenia. I'd hazard a guess that this is a case of "if you're fucked up in one way, you're likely to be fucked up in other ways too" manifesting itself once more (look up "minor physical anomaly scale" for more info on the correlation between neurodevelopmental disorders and odd/unusual physical features).

Edit to add, continuing from the post above, that it's not a two-way link - if you've got some kind of ND disorder, you're way more likely to have fucked up eyes; but there are plenty of people with fucked up eyes without an ND disorder.

Maybe this is Optimistic of me, but I'm hoping when they send her home, she will just lay in bed and act helpless/refuse to do anything for herself until she gets dumped in a nursing home or something and that will be enough to satisfy her munchie cravings. I know. Not enough rainbows in the world for that. But honestly, the alternative is that she will probably risk more sepsis to get back into the hospital.

Personally, I think at this point in her life with Munchausen going as far as it has for her, the only thing that is actually going to help her is having a full-time caretaker, but I honestly don't think those are readily available currently for people like Kelly. She might have some wound care nurses and stuff that see her frequently after she is rehabilitated and can get around better and everything, but unless she is placed somewhere with medical staff on hand at all times, there is no way she is going to just do nothing, unfortunately. Her options are very limited, and even more so because of the Munchausen, so there is probably nowhere she would willingly stay longterm that isn't a hospital.

Kelly's eyes didn't used to look as fucked up as they do now, so I think that she purposefully makes herself look as retarded as possible because munchie.

Also, fuck off with the tmi twin sperging.

Eyes are a window to the soul, one look at Kelly's eyes can tell you everything you need to know about her.

Yeah. She's going to find reasons to get re-admitted for the rest of her life. She'll ruin her stumps, make herself septic, claim suicidal ideation, whatever it takes to make sure she spends more time in than out of the hospital. It would take years of this shit for BC to actually place her in LTC, especially since she won't be able to private pay, and then she'd just run the same routines past the LTC nurses to get herself ambulanced right back to the ER. She might start moving around health authorities if Kelowna gets wise enough to her shit.
