So will all the attention that she gets from being an amputee and re-learning to walk be enough for her or will she just keep picking until she either dies of complications or is left as nothing but a head and torso? And say she is rendered as nothing but a head and torso.....would the compulsion lead to her gnawing off her own tongue or finding ways to damage her mouth? Ever since I saw her fiddling with a fucking nerve I put no act of self harm past her.

That might actually solve the problem, if she can't pick at wounds any more. Though she'd probably then just rub the stumps on sandpaper or against walls or something. Poor woman really needs inpatient mental health care yesterday.
 
Kelly posted this photo a few years ago to show swelling she had in her hands and feet. I thought I'd put it up here for the benefit of the reddit lurkers who still seem convinced Kelly just has an extreme skin picking disorder. She doesn't. It's self harm. Take a look at those scars. Maybe we're all terrible for saying she'll pick her stumps, or start on another body part, but this is just one example of why it's very probable.

Kelly's roommate Jen posted this update on Facebook a few days ago, which is consistent with our suspicions that she has been scheduled to have a bilateral BKA, or has already had one recently.

A while back (2019) she also posted pictures of what she says is her first psychiatric assessment when she was 24. It mentions self harm too ("superficial cutting"). It also claims dissociative states and Kelly herself claims she has been diagnosed with DID since 2011 iirc, (there's a long IG post abt it a couple of years ago). She claims she regresses to a 6-8 yo state of mind, has to be watched and baby sat, doesn't recognize people she may have known only as an adult, etc.

There's A LOT of stuff in there. At one point she makes these long ass posts where she tells her life story. Apparently she got her ballet merit diploma and BA while she was at a sort of women's shelter/facility. She also claims she prostituted herself for a while and that's how she met that Paul guy who abused her. It's... a lot.

Other random stuff:
- there's a long video post from may 2019 where she admits to blowing up at her shrink after she implied her "pain" may be smth else than physical i.e. she may be looking for meds. Also in this post she confirms she is on Dilaudid and they are now tapering her off of it.
- re: the psych ICU: this is two weeks after the shrink incident, she claims she doesn't know why she was put in psych, she actually mentions lolcow here... "it's nothing to do with this stupid lolcow bullshit, it's nothing to do with my physical health, I don't know what's going on". Never explains it afterwards.
- there's another f-ed up incident after she's at home after getting the skin grafts. They are starting to blister and bleed and the appointment she makes for this with her doctors is not fast tracked. She does a martyr post abt how she will wait her turn bc there are others who are sick and need help too. Then she shows up at her psych appointment without pants on so the lady can see how bad they are. The poor woman balks and calls her doctor to fast track her for later that day and ends up having to accompany her there bc Kelly doesn't have anyone else that can go with her. Kelly is very happy abt this bc with her there, the doctor will not query psych issues. Yikes.

Her IG is a mix of her horrorporn (very vivid pictures and vids of her wounds), cat pics, woe is me/crying fits that she films, upbeat mundane life posts and skits that she makes where she pretends to be someone and/or do smth (she has a "character" that she acts out with a south African accent or smth; there's also a vid of her doing an "I'm pregnant, guys... With a food baby! Ha ha" joke). Idk, it's just fkn weird. She is very, very sick.

I doubt it will ever be enough, but I imagine there will be one of three outcomes:

1. She escalates. This would just be repeating her (and most munchies) usual pattern. She may make it something related to her lost legs (infections, discrimination due to being a wheelchair, becht's spreading...something along those lines), revive an old storyline (hysterectomy, bloodletting, MS, any other forgotten/abandoned storyline) or try something new (with Kelly this means creating a new symptom and finding an ailment that aligns to it. Becht's started as bruises from cult pimp boyfriend, burning her hands on a curling iron (or hair straightener) was mysterious blisters, sudden twitching in certain parts of of her face or body that no one else can see...)

2. Much like what happens with trans people after they're love bombed into mutilating themselves beyond repair, the munchie community will be done with her and move on to a fresher target. They, again kind of like the very vocal pro-SRS trans community, want validation from others like them but don't want to see the horrific consequences of this encouragement (constant pain, irreversible damage, regrets) because that's a bummer and not what they signed up to the community for. They want to be brave and stunning and beautiful despite their medical maladies and will cut away any members that shatter that illusion.
Once all their noise is gone from her feed the reality of it all will set in. I think she's had a few moments of clarity throughout this and shown some real fear (although still denied any responsibility like any good professional victim/pity hound) and if she can hold that train of thought for more than a moment or two I think she'll see that it's going to be a long, dark, lonely road ahead. From there it will be either a scramble to regain attention or she'll give up completely. This scramble may lead to option 1, but I think it could also become a suicide saga where she suicide baits for attention because, well, look at the mess she's in.
For those who don't follow munchies too close this is not an unusual route, but much like their sicknesses they always have to escalate in intensity once people get bored of them and here in option 2 I think this could easily lead to an accidentally successful suicide.

3. Option 3 follows the same path as above but goes a bit darker; once the silence sets in, the pain pills run out, the attempts to regain any attention fail, well, some attention whores just give up. This is where we would see the purposeful suicide either slowly through very self destructive addictions with the end goal of permanently numbing the pain one way or another (no note, no mention of their addiction online, no blame, just self destruction) or by a very spur of the moment action during a particularly low point.

If she deviates from these routes I'll be incredibly surprised.
In her heart of hearts I don't doubt that she probably wants to the world to hear the story of the prodigy ballerina cut down in her prime by this rare disorder and she'll be invited on to TV shows to talk about her struggles and the audience will applaud her bravery and she'll never be compelled to slice or pick or purposefully infect again, but much like what happened with her bloodletting I think she also knows that if too many eyes are focused on her "bechts" then people will realize that her gaping wounds aren't the only holes in her story.
So she has to keep things kind of contained to the "Yes and..." munchie crowd rather than the "wait, what was that?" general public. Even she's not stupid enough to think the show can go on if she's widely exposed. The munchies will scatter like rats rather than be caught with a known faker for fear of being exposed or doubted by association, doctors will have proof of what they've been suspecting and be able to stop humouring her without fear of backlash and everyone else, us included, may occasionally bring her case up if its relevant to a conversation but she'd never regain the spotlight.

If they want to stop her from messing with whatever's left of her legs the only option is to amputate just below the chin, slightly above her shoulders. Anything else won't do it.
