plenty of dancers do wear tights over the leotard. Easier to use the bathroom that way, lots of pros dance that way except on stage. Some do it for other reasons

You can see the side of her calf under the right one, so they’re not wrapped on, just stuffed in those tan sock like thingies. Wouldn’t absorbent pads be kinda bandaged on, not just stuffed loosely into her socks?
 
once the newness and rush of all the love-bombing subsides and it's just her, her wheelchair and no legs something will click all she needs is a teaspoon of clarity and then it's suicide city.

Well yes and no. That kind of pads are hard to bandage up comfortably because of their bulk, so this would be just fine if you don't plan to move a lot
