Sorry, this is old (2017) but I didn't realise Kelly is blood type O+. It pisses me off so much that she was wasting the most valuable and in need blood.

She claimed that she was self conscious about it before and was thinking about getting surgery to fix it but then I guess she got more attention for her legs and went with that plan.
 
I wonder how this would’ve been dealt with in the US. If you’re under 65, Medicare really sucks but they’re definitely going to treat something life threatening. Typically they’ll reject claims for preventative treatment or something , so you’re stuck waiting until it becomes intolerable.
However, I kind of doubt they’d continue to waste all this effort. She’d prob have had them chopped off awhile ago, I’d think.
I still think that whole “moving the calf muscle” procedure was extremely weird. I don’t see the point since even back then, they knew she was doing this herself. If they knew, why bother with (what seems to me) such an unusual/radical surgery since it wouldn’t even sort of restore mobility?
That heel ulcer is terrible. I’m assuming she wasn’t prescribed a wheelchair because it wouldn’t encourage circulation, right?
Really does blow my mind, thinking about the unlucky medical staff trying to figure out wtf to do with her.

It also does strike me as odd that she wouldn’t want her legs amputated, but I’m leaning towards her thinking that if that inevitably happens she can portray this long, drawn out rotting legs saga as “fighting so hard until nothing more could be done :( “

Unlikely she’d qualify for Medicare with the SSDI prerequisites. She would probably be eligible for Medicaid with her history of mental illness.

As for the quality of her care? Depends on the state. New York? They’ll build her new legs out of titanium. Mississippi? Amputated with a rusty saw by a guy nicknamed “Doc Cock.”

Regardless I think her legs are coming off, and soon. What with her foot ulcers and exposed shins and the Hippocratic oath, she doesn’t have another option short of dying at home. (Which may well be her end goal.)

Can't wait for pics/video. Paige Donovan-Smith over at the general Munchausen's thread managed to munch her hand off a couple days ago. Kelly's falling behind in the pre-amputee munch race.

Depends where you are. North Mississippi, which is the edge of Appalachia, or those poor dumb bastards in the Delta? Yes, you'll probably end up with a public service doctor who can vary wildly in terms of competence, training, and available resources for treatment. On the Gulf Coast? There's lots of available high-end medical care there, not least because it's a popular spot for Canadian and northerner senior citizens to both winter in and retire to. And New Orleans, which has a huge amount of doctors and health care resources, is just a quick hour and a half to two hour trip away.

How old is she exactly?

I was laboring under the impression that she was in her 20s, but she looks like a rode hard and put away wet 45 there.

Why is she missing a tooth?

Her face and missing tooth are horrifying but not the horror I was anticipating.
