Her feet and ankles are so full of fluid. The skin is probably weeping from it.
I don't know if anyone has watched the longer krokodil video, but there's a leg that gets sawn off in it that's in similar condition.

I saw a documentary that followed a guy that had done it and that's the first thing I thought of when I saw her legs. Is that the one?

That spot on her foot/ heel looks like a rotten pressure ulcer. She definitely should have been able to avoid it getting that bad. It almost blows my mind that she let that happen. I'm sure she figures that if she is going to lose her legs at the knee, why bother trying to save her feet.

Weirdly, I actually believe that she didn't cause this particular ulcer herself. It looks too natural.
That doesn't mean she's not going to make it worse, of course.
 
I'm pretty sure that the wound on her heel is a decubitus/pressure ulcer. It's basically the most severe version of bed sores.

It could be natural or she could have exacerbated it by not moving her heel.

Also, while everything about her looks necrotic and septic, the pain she's describing reminds me of a bone infection.

I could easily believe that pressure wound opened up on its own. She has basically no circulation in her feet. It looks just like a foot ulcer in someone with diabetes or vascular disease, who can't feel their feet. I believe Kelly when she says she can't feel her feet. Between the lack of feeling, and poor circulation and tissue health, these type of wounds were well overdue.

I have a question for doctor kiwis. When you get a patient this fucked up, do you google them?

I worked in a non-doctor role with geriatric patients. They had no social media to peruse, but there was still gossip about their personal lives. I can't imagine that none of the doctors or nurses have looked her up. (But I belong to a dedicated community of cyberstalking autists, so I am biased.)
