I don't think Kat is wearing the pants in the relationship because that would imply they care about one another and have adult conversations with each other. They're glorified roommates. I think early on they at least put forth the effort to try and pretend to be a couple, but now they're comfortable dropping the facade and just doing their own things. They might LARP as a couple to boost their own self esteem every so often when they buy groceries together or go out to dinner together.

Other than that, Phil just uses her as an excuse. He can't stream longer because he needs to go spend time with Kat. He's totally willing to do a podcast, but he's worried about Kat so he has to turn it down, it totally has nothing to do with him being a gigantic coward who can't handle any basic social interaction. Gotta end the stream an hourly early because of Kat, not because he hates his job. Even him seeing his parents is related to Kat. The reason he uses Kat as a shield is because even some of his paypigs have started to point out how strange it is that someone in his financial situation isn't doing more to "work".

Phil needs to keep up the narrative that he performs backbreaking labor every day and only has one or two hours to himself. Every other moment is either occupied with hard work playing video games or paying his bills for the 17th time in the week. Using Kat elicits even more sympathy, because now he's not only working 33 hours a day, he's also trying to take care and provide for his girlfriend, so he could really use your tips and support to get him through this tough time. He's just a hardworking dude being screwed over by the government, and there's absolutely nothing he could possibly do to make more money, and even though he's actually been really successful lately, all that money he made actually made things worse but is somehow solved by making even more money.

Taking care of his "girlfriend", who already has a job and does go outside for social interaction and activities? Who is he honestly fooling? He's not taking care of her, he gives her a place to live that's it.

and if he does admit kat left, what can he do with girlfriends from then on out? anytime he gets a new one, people will point out that kat was "THE SOULMATE 4EVER!!!"
also if phil starts his usual "SHE BETRAY ME, SHE A BITCH!!" kat will for sure fire back from the comfort of whatever new guy's house she's living in. she only didn't do it for subaru guy because he just shrugged his shoulders and moved on, also no one cares about his juicy gossip. we only cared about him in relation to kat.

I gotta assume that came directly from Phil so I'm leaning toward X To Doubt since he's a histrionic middle aged woman about everything and he throws anyone under the bus who so much as makes him think he's been in any way slighted.

She probably just went downstairs or into the bedroom and closed the door.
 
Does she still cook for him? How long has it's been since he posted one of her meals or bragged about something she made him on stream? Again my reasons for thinking she is gone is that his bragging about her has come to a pretty much complete stop and, again, he works longer later hours than when she first came. Now maybe she has him cucked and is just out all the time, totally possible, but I also just look at how he lied for so long about Leanna being broken up with him. You may think he'd instantly tell us for pity begging but you're forgetting his massive ego and his need to come off as an alpha male.

yeah there have been a few streams recently where he had to stop the gameplay early so he could cook "for Kat". It's been happening quite a bit. He's clearly cooking for one.

He slipped up recently and almost used her name when mentioning a soup she made. It was just some Schwann's junk, but she probably was the one who hit "START" on the microwave.
 
Eh. I doubt she's gone. Phil hasn't lied about the status of his relationship with Leanna and Kat yet. When Leanna left, he just stopped talking about her, and when people started questioning he put out a TwitLonger about it. DSP is a pretty consistent dude.
She just doesn't want to be on camera because we can't handle us nudniks. There's just no evidence of her leaving.

As far as we know, Phil just locked onto her after she tweeted that one time about OBS and that would mean she wouldn't have to have been a fangirl.

From what I remember, it hit a point where he was mentioning Leanna in the same context he is with Kat. He'll bring it up every so often to use as an excuse for something or mention he had the day off and did chores with them, but that's about it. I think now that they're doing the roommate thing, there's just not a lot to brag about. They're past what we can generously call their honeymoon phase and since they never do anything remotely interesting as people, let alone as a couple, there's nothing else to brag about.

I'll admit, it is possible that she left, but I'd wait for something more concrete to confirm it. People have been jumping the gun about Kat being gone since pretty much day one. I think it's fair to say neither of them are particularly invested in the relationship though. I think that's also part of why he's stopped talking about her. She was always more of a prop than anything else. He's not interested in anything she does/cares about as a person, so the most he really can muster is things like "Kat and I watched this movie last night" or "Kat and I went out to dinner." If she left without saying anything, I wouldn't be surprised if it took Phil several days to notice.

I think one of the telling things will be what happens when Phil goes to see his parents. If there's no mention of Kat at all or if he posts pictures that don't have Kat in them, I'd be more suspicious.

No, she'd been ReTweeting him for months. She made her Twitter account around Sept 2016 and only made 2 kinds of Tweets on it: 1- 'I'm excited about [New Video Game] releasing soon' with an image of some article about the game embedded; and 2- ReTweeting DSP. She also posted to Twitter 2 "Sexy" photos with the caption 'Just because'.
Then in January 2017 she made a Tweet thanking everyone for such a great 1st stream on Twitch. Out of approximately 268 Tweets between Sept 2016 and June 2017 she got a total of about 4 responses, one being the now famous Phil Tweet that ended her Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch career at Phil's insistence, and a total of about 11 'Favorites'. She was Tweeting almost daily for 9 months exclusively about new video games, streaming, and ReTweeting Phil. . .who was the only account she ever ReTweeted.

Interestingly she never once Tweeted a single word about her boyfriend of 4 years that she was living with and leeching off of financially, who's car insurance she was on for a 2016 Subaru WRX (a car that came out in Sept of 2016), except for one extremely vague Tweet around March 2017 that read 'Sorry guys, I can't stream today because I'm sad.' As far as I've heard, and I assume the YouTube detractor channels would have made videos if it existed, in all of her streams uploaded to YouTube she never once spoke of her boyfriend of 3+ years that she was living with, nor was any evidence of him ever seen. She did Tweet in Oct 2016 about buying a PSVR and they had just released, so $300+ dollars. She's Tweeting about every new video game and buying and playing them.

My theory for a while has been that she would play video games, and after Jan 2017 stream, all day while Subaru Man was working. Maybe she had some part-time minimum wage gig that she bought her own video games with, but that's it. Subaru Man was paying for house, insurance, food, vehicle, electricity, water, etc. and after 3+ years of this he wanted to know where the fuck the relationship was going, wanting more intimacy, wanting a wife, maybe kids. So Katherine was "sad" because her grift was up and she had to put in the effort to find some other dupe to use as a sugar daddy sooner rather than later.

In one of the IRL streams Katherine stated she 1st became aware of DSP during his 'The Evil Within' playthrough, because she was also playing it at the same time he was mid-October 2014. She has been a fan since about a month after the 1st 'Hair Trick' video was made in Sept 2014, but probably knew jack shit about the real Phil until slightly after she moved in. Her entire Twitter account and streaming career was just an attempt to catfish her next video game flop-house. The funny part to me is she probably thought she was catfishing a baller, but now that she's found out that all Phil really want's is this 'Roomates with friend's benefits' relationship she's willing to play pretend.

Edit: I also am wondering what will happen during DSP Tries It: Introducing His Roommate to His Parents, Who Think She's the Future of the Brunel Dynasty. Should be a good episode if the writers get off their lazy, fat asses. Will Business-Dad and Smoker-Mom just be glad their retarded son has a chauffeuse?

I don't know why everyone is so quick to jump on kat being gone just because she's not appearing on stream. She's lived there for over a year and we've only seen her on stream 2-3 times so her absence from streams doesn't really indicate anything.
After pandalee left there was an increase of selfies on dsp's instagram. If we see a resurgence of "selfie dave" it may be a sign that kat left.
