I honestly don't mind him taking jabs at me. The forum is focused on talking shit about people, so we might as well be able to handle some ourselves right? My only gripe would be shitting up the thread. So you know, deal with issues on the profiles at least.

Mr Pickle, it doesn't even matter whether you're still a fan or a newly minted detractor, I'm sure your thoughts are still welcome on the boards. It's just that the "You're jealous!" argument is incredibly Dave-like. "They're just jealous. How is Phil STILL here, doing this for a living, ten years later!?" I guess you see my point.

Apparently there's a minimalistic 2-guy raid by TKOH though, some other, more transparent dude came up on the main thread. I for one welcome our visitors, from the other side of a sperg-proof cristal, in a hazmat suit. And I'm sure everyone else will do the same.

So I come to a site that makes very broad and dissective opinions to those deemed "LOL" worthy and I make a very broad and vague opinion about what I could only articulate as a little hidden jealousy and members that are supposedly not under my broad and vague opinion are in an uproar? Okay.

All I said was if your post reads as if Phil isn't deserving of a girlfriend because he's a piece of shit, it comes off as jealous to me. With one piece of shit man there is an equally piece of shit woman out there destined to be with that man. Let them fester in their feces.

If you don't like what I said, then down vote it. But getting mad about my throwaway opinion on a website that has an opinion about everybody.. Kind of hypocritical. Especially from those that say they don't fall into my opinion.

But the most autistic thing? I disagree. Imagine some fans gift you a cool thing that you can put in your stream. Like some kind of appreciation for them. A poster, a shirt, pillows, something handmade, or a plushie. I would totally do that, it's a nice thing to do. And these are just strangers.
If you can appreciate them, you would especially put something there for (or from) your big love, your soulmate. They don't see each other that often but at least it gives some signal of "Look honey, I think of you, you are kinda here with me". I think that's cute.
 
I totally agree. If someone from a stream sent me something as a token of their appreciation, I would absolutely display it to thank them for their kindness. Dave is going on 37. And Kat is nearing 30. Buying your boyfriend a plushie to put on a couch while he begs children for money to keep him company is pretty autistic. Especially considering what we know about her. It’s the kind of shit teenagers in love do. I gotta hand it to her though; it’s a great way to keep Dave off her scent. All these late nights working and going to the gym...
 
Wait people unironiclly think another person is jealous of our boy dave? Maybe a hobo is jealous of him, but chances are if you can afford an Internet connection you’re doing well enough not to be jealous of him. All he’s got is money, and he’s proved plenty of times that it can’t buy happiness.

...but not in the way that guy claims. I mean, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wouldn't mind getting a few thousands dropped my way just for playing vidya on my couch. And not even needing to be funny.

But, on the same token, I doubt ANYONE here would switch places with him, a man with no shame or dignity left on his name. The price of DSP's cushy life is being held as one of the most pathetic persons with a personality on the net. I don't think it's worth it.

I don't think it's at all contrarian to say that people who are jealous of Dave and/or his roommate with benefits relationship with Kat exist and may post here, remember the 'The implications that Dave can get a girlfriend with a thigh-gap' guy who's pregnant wife was so embarrassed by his online activity that she pretended to be his sister?



I disagree that dissecting, examining, and attempting to piece back together different aspects of Dave's life (his lies about it) into a more accurate picture is an indication of any specific motivation, everyone has their own reasons and to accuse an anonymous person through a text-based interaction that they feel a specific way just shuts down conversation. If I want to know if someone is jealous of Dave, like 'thigh-gap' guy, I'll just ask them and then follow up with questions about their motivation if the thought process interests me. It was actually hilarious listening to 'thigh-gap' guy spurg out for a while until it became tedious and repetitive.

I'm here hobby-watching a pathological liar so I find it interesting trying to compare Dave's lies with his actual patterns of behavior and reactions to life events. I like seeing the dichotomy between the braggadocious way Dave presents his situation with Soulmaid, and the dismal actuality of what seems to be an emotionally distant and deceptive living arrangement between a delusional narcissist and an emotionally flat gold-digger willing to pretend in exchange for room and board.


I'm guessing if she gets asked about this plushie that Dave is building up as some symbol of their relationship in the future she won't remember a fucking thing about it, not because she didn't get it for him, but because it was a one off token that means nothing to her and Dave will be upset she doesn't remember, then she will start spinning something about how she just forgot because she never sees it, rather than because it's just some dumb thing she got to placate his fussy neediness.

I hope Dave's chat starts treating the toy as a simulacrum for his girlfriend, that may produce some funny autism if they can get Dave RP'ing some shit with the toy.

You've put into words pretty much exactly how I feel about Phil. Would I like to get the amount of money he does for playing video games? Of course. Do I want the rest of his life that would come with it? Fuck no.
 
3 weeks until Halloween. Kat allegedly told Phil she wants to dress up. If we see Kat again soon, this will be it.

Seeing how her "normal" eye make-up looks like a cross between Gozer the Gozerian and Jareth the Goblin King, what will she look like?

Also, if the Kat is indeed missing, will Dave hire a hobo to wear a "sheet with eyeholes ghost costume" to trick us?

Only other board that cares about the DSP board is the CWC board and its denizens and they’re all white knight, troll-remorse stricken, bent duck suckers par excellence so their opinion is worth jack shit.

Other boards want nothing to do with the DSP board because they aren’t interested in DSP. Other personalities/topics entertain them more.
 
I’m gonna call it and say I highly, HIGHLY doubt we will see a Kat appearance on stream. In fact I’m gonna go out on a limb and say we’re not gonna see Kat til she escapes the pigpen and starts streaming again. And she is probably desperate to escape. She’s not allowed to stream, she’s not allowed to have any social media (that we know of, at least, she’s a relatively young woman, why wouldn’t she have social media?), she’s basically a prisoner.

She may not be gone yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

EDIT: I’ve been around for a minute now, and I agree. I really don’t think this sub is all that bad.
 
No other board wants anything to do with any other board lol. I've seen that exact "this board sucks" post on pretty much every individual Lolcow board with the exception of the Brianna Wu board, which sees barely any activity outside the general thread anyway. This board is fine considering how active it is.
 
I understand why Kat wouldn't appear on a stream. I don't understand why she would want. Halloween costume otherwise. If I remember correctly Dave said he doesn't get trick or treators in his gated community. I highly doubt they are going to any adult Halloween parties. I'm going to be optimistic and hope she shows up.

Lol not at all. This board operates essentially as its own microcosm of autism seperate from the rest of the farms. In fact it's actually the opposite, the majority of the people here have no interest in the rest of the site. Even the moderators were aware of this. The typical musings from this board and the way things usually operate are noticeably different from the other areas of the site.

DSP is known for being a massive autism magnet, and the user content here frequently shows that being the case. I'm assuming that's something that's worsen as of late without there being an active supervisor here. I haven't lurked here in a bit so I'm not sure why that is - but when you come to this board after not lurking for some time, that cancer is the first impression you get. It's very off putting. That doesn't have to do with an interest in DSPs boring ass, nobody wants to read around that shit.
