He's trying to unite the Abrahamic religions to fight our collective enemy, the progressive degenerates of the west in the final battle between good and evil. The good doctor has gone full tonto.
I repeat, what exactly is it that YOU are doing to help the cause?
This has to be a new low for Peterson in terms of shameless pandering, although it doesn't surprise me that he'd try to appeal to religious conservatives, since they're A) easy marks, and B) subscribe to a view of the world which can easily be adapted to the message he's selling.
Ultimately, when you break it down, Peterson's core message is really just the secular equivalent of prosperity gospel: the belief that if you work hard, strive to be a virtuous person, and set your own house in order, then you will naturally be rewarded for it. Notions of systemic unfairness, injustice, cronyism, nepotism, and corruption are a big problem for the viability of this worldview, which is why he desperately wants people to try to ignore it.
In some ways, I actually have more respect for genuine prosperity gospel types, because while they're obvious grifters, they are at least nominally doing it in the name of something transcendent. What does Peterson's ideology exist to justify? Neoliberal economic policy?
He sounds like a nutcase in that "Message to Muslims" video. Luciferan ideals? People possessed by the spirit of Cain? Satanic impulses? What the fuck.
He's most likely just desperately trying to appeal to the prejudices of his new audience, although if you listen closely, you'll notice that he's vague enough about what these "Satanic impulses" entail when it would pose a problem. In the end, his position is not sustainable, because there are many things about the Abrahamic faiths which are irreconcilable. Funny how he never mentions anything specific for the "people of the book" to come together over, like the Israel-Palestine conflict.
