The video is actually pretty savage. Since Peterson (a relativist) doesn't actually have a forceful critique against relativism he's forced to spew some pseudointellectual dogshit to persuade his sub-90-IQ normie fanbase that he hasn't been thoroughly BTFO'd.
This guy's controlled opposition is basically irrelevant now but I'll sperg about him anyway.
The guy has made his living critiquing Marxism and postmodernism, both forms of relativism, whilst believing that symbols only exist in the brain (Jung) and that God is just evolution by a different name (atheism) while claiming to be a Christian and dodging questions about believing in God. His book, Maps of Meaning, is just a regurgitation of Jung's archetypes, which is compatible with a modernistic and relativistic ontology. It's no wonder that many of his fans have never read it, otherwise they would identify the grift immediately. Jung drew from non-relativistic sources on symbolism, choosing to remove them of absolute content and to butcher them so they could fit a materialistic worldview. For example, he took Evola's excellent work on alchemy, The Hermetic Tradition, and insisted on turning the ancient process of transformation of the four-fold man (mind, body, spirit, soul) into "self-actualization" of the material individual (just a body.) Just so you get an idea how far afield Jung's interpretation was from the original tradition, the goal of Hermeticism was quite literally immortality, not becoming a white woman on Facebook.
Peterson has adopted the stereotypical aesthetic of a Jewish psychologist. His Freud grift is too obvious, and his kayfabe is thin. He is a pathetic man with a large nose, beady eyes, but a big goatee and a tweed jacket, but many people are not aware. He continues to fool impressionable people that he is a daddy figure.
The guy self-admitted to being controlled opposition. He stated in an interview years ago, I think in 2017, that his goal was to divert young men from "joining the alt-right." There is a serious issue with absurdism and nihilism today that results in people either committing atrocities when they can't resolve the logic of samsara (why should anyone live or even have kids if we are all going to die?). Peterson identifies this issue and presents people a shallow and empty form of "meaning" as anti-nihilism. Some people are dumb enough to benefit from it. Other thinkers who attempt to bring back pre-modern forms of meaning in sincerity are predictably ignored. Peterson is a pressure release valve for their discontent with modern society. He provides them an outlet which is so deceptively "traditional" that it neutralizes any possibility of real development. Peterson's worldview is about as modern (or postmodern) as it gets. Traditionalist Rene Guenon would have called his philosophy part of the "counter-initiation." It looks like traditionalism but is in reality its radical opposite.
For Peterson, myths are just performative and unconscious creations of humans attempting to explain their irrational urges in a rational way. For traditionalists, myths are actually occult explanations of objective, supra-rational truth. For example, Mithras slaying the bull as the depiction of a regal rite that allows one to attain immortality by imposing will upon the dark forces of nature (the bull.)
Peterson makes a lot of noise about order versus chaos. Rarely does his explanation ever go deeper than "organize your life." The traditional idea was that chaos and order were counterparts fused into one unity, aka God. Man, being a microcosm of God, ("made in his image,") contains both forces as well. Chaos represents our subconscious urges, our desires, our irrationality, our minds, spirits, and emotionality and anything feminine. Order represents our masculine will, our soul, our ability to impose active form upon passive media like the mind so as to produce imagination or to perform magic. Several esoteric systems combine order and chaos in order to uncondition the self. Vajrayana, for example, utilizes desire guided by the will during sex practices to achieve Buddhist awakening. From the metaphysical point of view, purity and impurity, and Peterson's pseudo-Christian ontology, falls away and just becomes unity of all possibilities.
Of course, explaining the full breadth of ancient metaphysics and symbolism doesn't help you sell self-help materials to teenagers and incels. All this stuff is hard to understand and takes a lot of reading. Peterson is quite literally a millionaire, so his grift has been enormously effective. Some significant number of people still think the "intellectual dark web" is badass and cool and haven't even bothered to avail themselves of dissident critiques of modernity. They believe silly things by design: that capitalism (materialism) is the opponent of communism (also materialism.) That IQ is heritable but that it doesn't differ among geographically isolated populations. That relativism is evil, but Freudian obsession with the material subconscious is somehow worthwhile, or that Freduianism at all can be compatible with a traditional worldview. All told, the video's summation that Peterson is an exponent of the American civic religion is spot on. All his schizophrenic contortion is necessary to get young conservative, religious men to support the globalistic and capitalistic system of the anti-christ.
Sadly it's harder to advance to these people a critique of Peterson that they can understand than it is for Peterson to post some incomprehensible schizophrenic fluff on his blog to keep them inside his cult of personality. I recently read a study that showed people were more willing to take 20 "extremely painful" electric shocks than to attempt to solve a hard puzzle for 20 seconds. The same study also showed that most people feel physical pain when they try to think about something for longer than three seconds. Unfortunately, we will be stuck with effective controlled opposition like this for as long as democratic demagoguery is in fashion.
