It sounds like to me he has some secondary traumatic stress from dealing with all the fans seeking him out and dumping their tragedies on him, I mean we are barely past the 10 minute mark and he is already crying. When the fame hit, it seems like he didn't really do a good job partitioning his discipline/career from his private life. This makes me wonder if he has actual friends anymore or if the only people he interacts with outside of family are either fans or media people.

For a guy getting ready to hit 60 who has had a very busy professional career, he isn't too bad off.

The reality is her autoimmune issues are probably caused by all the pills the family is guzzling wrecking her immune system. But the whole family chose to partake in a weird diet that's probably causing them many issues they won't share publicly instead of coming off the pills.

He was like this during his fame and before his fame too. He's just a highly strung guy.

Since it's not something that changed, I don't think it's necessarily related to hearing those tragedies. I mean this is a guy who surrounds himself in his house with imagery that reminds him of mass murder and such; it's pretty much his wheelhouse to be enconsed in depressing stuff.

It reads like one of those fables he tells and then tries to teach from, think of it as a secular homily. He picked this up from studying Carl Jung who said shit like this; comparing Hitler to a shaman and the Nordic deity Wotan. He'll take a story from popular culture and then restate with different terms (i.e. the Red Room is the radical leftist sky Satan) to help draw out some kind of lesson.

He's back to his old tactic of using a moralizing, indignant tone to mask the fact that he has nothing profound to say. It's just more mealy-mouthed obscurantism, in this case directed against atheists, climate change protesters, and vaccine/lockdown advocates (he evidently understands his target audience).

I honestly thought his fans might have started to catch on to his schtick by now, but sadly the comments section is as sycophantic as ever.
