One would most likely wouldn't give a fuck as would others. If Playtonic still wanted to go through with caving into some stupid demand, they could instead either ignore the demands or just put the removal in as an option.

Though to be fair, the same goes for the majority of people who claim the game is ruined for them because JonTron's voice got removed. I don't think they could've really won here, but I still think just ignoring it would've been the best course of action.

The other side of the fence is also as dumb since one would be distancing themselves just because a voice got removed (unless there was some deeper reason, it's really just coming off as petty). At least one could get a laugh at Playtonic digging deeper in a hole they made.

I'm impressed by how quickly public opinion is turning against them, and how they're doing nothing to change that.

This whole disaster has me anticipating what's going to be the ultimate outcome when Yooka-Laylee is finally released, since this is already looking bad to people who do actually care about the game, and we know damn well the SJW crowd don't actually play games. And it certainly won't look good to normal people who just want to find an interesting game to play and they see the developer fighting with the people funding their game.

I for one will still be getting the game and I see no reason to take away my money from a project that I am in otherwise full support of. I can only that the Old Guard (the original Rare boys) aren't the ones behind this and that these new employees are the reason most of this is happening. The idea that they "have" to do it in a patch only reaffirms this to me. I have faith that the game will be worth what backed.

What baffles me however, is that they're taking out his VOICE GRUNTS. He's literally just making noises not even full words. That this is so important to anyone on both sides kinda gets me, but I'm completely sympathetic to the point about censorship and understand why people are upset.

However, this isn't the only 3D Platformer Revival project to feature Jon. Another game known as "A Hat in Time" also features Jon. And the thing he actually does full dialogue for a minor character early in the game (in fact he was even in one of the demos) and they've made no comment on Jon at all, despite his larger role in their game

For real. What a crybaby. Part of being an adult means doing your job and fulfilling your obligations, and the developers are obligated to give their backers the product they paid them for, and to listen to them when they have serious concerns. Consumer feedback is extremely valuable in any industry, and turning the game's forum into a developer hugbox helps no one.
