Multiple members of Team17's staff, including Jonno, as covered, have basically shown sneering fucking contempt for their own fucking customers. Doesn't matter whether it's the backer page, the steam page, or the official forums, they are on complete lock-down mode right now against a shitstorm they themselves caused. Overnight, many of the devs on Twitter have gone stealth mode, and you're likely to see more of that as we go, but it increasingly looks like a repeat of the Dina debacle and with the usual suspects circling the wagons, this bodes ill, especially for a game this close to release.
Jonno dangerhair vanguard seems to have lolcow potential

Even by old Rare's standards that joke is pretty poorly timed.
You'll have to forgive us if we don't particularly want to support petty people like Jonno.LMAO, you really have to be a pathetic neckbeard to boycott what looks to be a fun game over this pointless bullshit![]()

"Angry anime avatars". Because obviously all the steam users Jonno got into an argument with used underage Chinese cartoon girls. Seriously, the tweets trying to be sympathetic. Sympathy shouldn't come from any sort of tism related to being a Steam mod. That said, with the Warcraft thread, it got a 404 page.It gets worse.

In what I can only describe as the autism version of Damnatio Memoriae, they are now going after a Jontron tribute character in World of Warcraft.
Stupid as the boycott is, at least one can get salt to laugh at from whatever side.LMAO, you really have to be a pathetic neckbeard to boycott what looks to be a fun game over this pointless bullshit![]()

calm down brogotta agree
lolling so much at people being triggered over some random neckbeard youtuber not voicing a cartoon clam
you could say that the salt is coming from this very thread
Considering gamergate and neckbeards, it wouldn't be surprising if the devs focus too much on that to the point that someone trying to cash in on this online tire fire could just say "Autistic internet gamer group attacks game studio", never mind that there could be other reasons besides the Jon Tron shitstorm Playtonic got themselves into.Frankly, the main reason I'm concerned is that employees trying to fight evil Gamergater neckbeards seems to be a surefire sign that a game's launch is going to be a disaster fire. We've had Mighty No. 9, the Fire Emblem Fates localization, and just recently Mass Effect: Andromeda. I'd be really bummed if Yooka-Laylee went out the door half-broken because the dev team was too busy shitposting on Twitter.
They really could of just avoided personal ideologies and just say something else with dropping Jon Tron. That or really just not bother with some autistic screeching about Jon Tron in any way.Oh good...now there's two crappy baiters in here.
I feel like things are gonna get worse for Playtonic before it gets better. Removing Jon? Crappy thing to happen, but I get the reasoning. Openly showing contempt for those that disagree while also showing that the reason for dropping Jon was less about the company and more about their own personal ideologies? That's where you fucked up. They're basically saying "yeah, we DID drop Jon because the SJWs told us to, what of it?"
Instead of staying neutral about the situation, they're going as personal as possible. Bad move.
