one of the funniest "global neighborhood" moments I've had was a year or few before Ukraine v Russia (current jam) kicked off
we knew this one dude was from Ukraine when the subject of the highway near Chernobyl came up and he was like "oh yeah blahblah" and it was clear for him driving past the greatest atomic meltdown site was a Tuesday
Christmastime is here and we're watching MST3k Jack Frost
Uk dude is reminiscing about this being the Christma New Years Movie in soviet satellites like his as a kid. He's having a sensible chuckle about the show, he's not mad they're making fun of his childhood movie, just the whole riffing thing isn't quite hitting.
Player 2 arrives. Oh hey this movie, I saw this as a soviet kid lol, not quite feeling the"riff" idea but still it's neat you get to see it in the USA internet
Uk- yeah sure is a fun movie
p2- yeah I loved watching it as a kid
(Uk- yeah sure was good times as a kid in Ukraine / p2- in Russia)

lol I love that episode, definitely top five. Should have told them to calm the fuck down and enjoy the riffs.

The terrible dubbing is what makes it, the film itself is pretty good as a Christmas New Year's movie.

the funniest part for me was they both like, got the idea of the show but it just didn't really do it for them personally
but yeah once they found each other out it was joever stalin, we couldn't do anything about it

I think you've got to be west of the Curzon Line to appreciate MST3K's humor. Or just a huge nerd.

I don't see the full exercise immediately online but iirc there's a great [fart noise] joke that transcends all language
I think I have an archive in my stacks, I'll try digging
 
the baddies have a plan largely based around convincing the tard one that Santa (dinosaur alien version) isn't real
