I just have to say that Bruno's words at his death and the art and music they used is the most fucking Italian thing ever. People were like "The cherubs and shit were overdone" And I was like, Nigger, do you even Italy? That's Italian as fuck, especially the shot with the cross.

So do they ever confirm who can or cannot see ghosts? They say civilians could interact with Reimi in part 4, yet we only ever stand users interact with ghosts

I don't think they do. I think its just Stand users. Are you sure civvies could interact with her? I know the whole cast sees her off at the end, but there were no non-Stand users among them. I think its basically like Stands for normies, they can see the results of their actions, just not themselves. I remember Remi saying she hadn't seen people in her alley for a long long time. So only Stand users really have that connection to the dead.
 
Seeing how part 5 is about guys climbing through the (criminal) underworld, it makes sense that the people who died in the group are shown ascending to heaven or giving a peaceful send off.

The son of God even fights the Devil for the throne of said underworld.
But Giorno isn't jesus, he's Lucifer.

If I wanted to start a discussion about the JJBA manga should I just create a new thread? One one hand I don't want to clog the board with two different threads for the same franchise, on the other I don't think the people here would enjoy reading 25 years worth of spoilers.
 
Has literally anything happened in Jojolion yet?

I stopped reading after they introduced the guy who's stand can increase atmospheric pressure.

You missed a LOT of shit, nigger.

Mitsuba became an actual character and got her own Stand, Tsurugi killed Norisuke, Araki introduced Yasuho's ex-boyfriend Tooru, Gappy, Yasuho and Rai are currently chasing the Head Doctor, Ojiro came back for a few chapters and tried to steal Jobin's Rokakaka fruit but got killed (along with his new sugar mommy). Jobin seems to be the main villain.

Wasn’t his stand revealed to basically be “Killer Haze”? Also, I still think we’re gonna get some kind of fucked up reveal for Caato, he wouldn’t introduce that lady and NOT do something with her.

That sounds like a lot of stuff that still doesn't indicate the direction of Part 8-- wait Tsurugi killed Norisuke?

It's not 100% confirmed. It seems so but it might be a trick. You never know when something is an illusion with Tsurugi's stand. Personally I find it kinda annoying.

Can't blame you. Part 8 has kinda gone downhill after the Vitamin C fight. Volume 1-14 of JoJolion is my favorite stretch of JoJo, you had an intriguing mystery, great characters, the humor was on point and chapters 11-13 were just amazing. Volume 14 was a good breather " episode" but after that it the plot is dragging out too long. Did we really need five (potentially six if the last fight isn't a three-way between Team Joubin, Team JoJo and Team Rockmen and they have to fight the head doctor before Joubin) more fights before the final one?.

Also I'm still mad that Joshu was relegated to a tertiary role instead of being part of the protagonist's team.

The Rock Humans have just been disappointing antagonists in general. Most of them literally don’t have personalities, or are otherwise underdeveloped, and for the most part their stands didn’t really yield particularly interesting or wacky fights.

That’s the majority of Part 8 stands tbh. Even Tsurugi’s stand started off with a ridiculously specific powerset before morphing into the more general “origami that makes illusions”. Ojiro’s stand also becomes less oddly specific on his return, allowing him to control people without first needing to injure them, which is how it should have worked in the first place because it’s literally fucking useless otherwise.
