Wasn't this season supposed to end at episode 39 rather than 37?

holy shit GER is glorious, love how terrifying it is to see it animated. It's Japanese I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream

38 and 39 are airing at the end of July in a one hour special on Sunday (ironic, given the whole Catholic theme of this anime. I mean, this episode was called King of Kings). No more JoJo on Friday, which is why I say its the last JoJo Friday. Its speculated because they want to do more work and extra stuff for the finale because this is David Production's favorite part so they did all those re-caps to give themselves the extra time to put some polish on them. Its also why Part 5 is my favorite JoJo anime.

MUDA MOTHERFUCKER. Yeah, GER was really a terrifying Stand, forcing you to sit and watch

I wonder if they're going to move on to Stone Ocean or wait a while like they did between 4 and 5. Stone Ocean is definitely my least favorite part, though I can't exactly explain why. It's not because of the big you-know-what in the end, and the characters themselves are alright.

Regardless, I'm excited to see a SBR adaptation. Even though it isn't my favorite part, I'd have to say it's Araki's magnum opus and I still love it to death.

Guessing there’ll be a wait, Jojo’s no longer DP’s only show. Guessing we’ll get Fugo OVAs in-between

I like Stone Ocean, and would rank it above Stardust Crusaders and Phantom Blood. But, it’s main problem is that it’s when stand abilities started becoming overcomplicated. A lot of the minor stand users and abilities were just... not that great, compared to Part 5 which had excellent and memorable minor antagonists despite having a weaker plot.

It’s cause Episodes 38 and 39 will be airing back to back on July 28th

Part 6's ending is ok when you fully understand what Araki was trying to do
and I've come to the conclusion that its happier than if they would have killed Pucci there. A lot of the cast would still be fucked up and the relationships in disarray. Pucci not existing and the crew getting 'killed' actually gives them better lives when the universe resets. Jotaro has a family and a relationship with his daughter, no longer needs to fight random Stand assassins because of Pucci. Dio's threat is eliminated forever. Part 1-5 still happened. Joylene is less wild and about to be married. The Irene thing is both a pun (I lean and I kiss), a homage to an earlier character and the fact that she's not technically a JoJo so she won't have a bizzare adventure. The characters we know and love still exist and they're better for actually getting killed, making Jotaro and Joylene's sacrifice worth it. Its bittersweet because nobody remembers Emperio, but he could just tell them. Araki uses Irene/Joylene interchangeably and this is what he intended. It just had a VERY poor execution and fucktards who scream KINO want to end it nihlistically, even though this goes against pretty much every Jojo ever. It was a happy end earned through tears, blood and sacrifice. This can be fixed in the anime with a better and clearer epilogue.

A lot of people don't like Emperio killing Pucci but I'm fine with it. Pucci getting erased from existence is probably the most brutal way he could go. People say Pucci wins, but he really doesn't. He loses as hard as he possibly could, by reality itself eliminating him from it and consigning him to oblivion. The Joestar bloodline prospers, DIO's dream is utterly destroyed and he'll ultimately be forgotten.

Its also sad we're never going to see Giorno, Josuke, Jotaro or Joylene ever again because that's the end of that Jojo series.

What part six really suffers from is huge pacing issues and Stands that are fucking too overly complicated and some battles that are just terribad. The secondary cast isn't as fleshed out as the other parts, but Joylene is what makes it.

No jojo for three weeks? Guess I can watch Young Justice Season 3 in that time. Also, I just realized that GW’s dub will probably be announced in a few months. Hearing “Li’l Bomber”, “Zipperman” or “Arts ‘n Crafts” actually come out of their mouths will be megacringe

Yeah, it really sucks. It was hard enough with the subs. I can't watch dub. I hate dubs. Everything seems completely overdramatized and terrible.

I know it isn't possible but what if the long episode was just Diavolo's never ending end. And Giorno becoming the boss as just the post credits stinger.

Instead of 5 minutes of muda its 35 minutes of muda with a five minute epilogue

I mainly just keep tabs on the JJBA dubs to see what they’ll reword and who’ll be voiced by which actor. Hopefully, they’ll get someone with range like Chris Sabat for Diavolo/Doppio and they’ll get back Erholtz as Pol’s VA for Part 5, because it’d be nice to hear him with a more grizzled, hardened tone

Obviously Araki didn't include Giorno because he would have clearly fucking merked Pucci with Jotaro.

I mean, If Giorno was in Part Six at the end, this would have been Pucci:

"Change the universe? lol, divide by zero bitch, I reset reality motherfucker. This is your fate for all eternity. Now we're all headed to Morioh and eating at Torino's. My treat."

10 years later:

Obviously its one of the biggest plot-holes in the manga, especially Part 5 being the most popular by far, I don't think anyone would have a problem with a surprise Giorno showing up and saving Jotaro and Joylene. It could be a call back to part 4 where Jotaro saves the day with Koichi.

With GER, he's unbeatable. You could say that he never felt the pull because Requiem was so powerful nothing matters to Giorno and he broke the strand of fate that tied him to DIO by overcoming him. But in reality, if I were writing, I'd have a surprise Giorno come in. Or pretend to work with Pucci.

But yeah, its obvious Araki didn't include him because he'd ice Pucci and call it a day. You can't have him in it with the ending Araki wanted. And ironically, the ending where everyone dies is the happiest, because Emperio beats Pucci and anything between Part 5 and Part 6 is completely changed. Jotaro still kills Dio, Pucci doesn't exist so he doesn't have to fight constant Stand users, has a family, none of the gang goes to prison. The ending of Stone Ocean grew on me once I realized, he's basically going back to zero. Joylene is Irene because the bizzare adventures are over. They're going to live a (relatively) normal life. They're still Stand users, obviously. But things be different.

Tbf, they could always add a scene of an arrowless giorno (they kinda imply that requiem deactivates when you drop the arrow with polnareff) getting disc’d by pucci while having a casual conversation with him about dio or something in the anime

Golden Experience literally absorbed the arrow itself, combining it to birth something new. They make a point explicitly to say that its joined with Giorno's stand to become GER. They even say that once that happened, Diavolo could no longer get the arrow or use it. So basically the arrow has become one with Giorno. It wasn't one with Chariot Requiem because the Stand didn't have an anchor to control it. Requiem was technically an independent Stand that was functionally mindless.

Its implied that the arrow has to chose a living being, not just a Stand itself. It powered up Requiem, but because Polanreff was no longer able to control it, it just became a mindless entity. It needs a human host, not a phantom of one, which is functionally what a Stand is.

To be honest, I have NO idea how they're going to do Stone Ocean. Its the least liked with a ton of plot holes and an ending you basically have to interpret for yourself. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it really isn't...I don't know, JoJoish? What Araki had in mind was, but it was never expressed fully and seemed rushed. I honestly think its a genius ending. You have everyone die, they're on the brink of losing, but Joylene puts her faith in this one kid to break the cycle. He does, and all the horrible shit Joylene and her friends went through because of Pucci is erased. Jotaro now has a family. He can relax and be a father to his daughter. His daughter can be stable and isn't disconnected from Jotaro because with Pucci ceasing to exist, nobody is coming after him. So he can be there without worrying about protecting his family like the other Joestars. And its implied at the end that they're all going to be friends again, which is why Emperio cries in happiness.

The execution of that, however, was....not good. I think the idea in and of itself is brilliant, and its an earned ending, but how they're going to pull that off in anime form when JoJo the anime is really built around the fandom with love and care and this is the most disliked part. Obviously David Productions is going to do it, because they're going to want Steel Ball Run, which is almost unanimous as the best part (though animating the horses is going to be a BITCH) and going to make fucking bank. The weird part about it is that everyone really likes Joylene, but her part is the least liked. Maybe they'll be able to rectify that. If they can solve the pacing and resolve issues with the conclusion, then I think it might do well. Though, I am getting ready for all the fucking SJW articles that Joylene's clothing is 'sexist' and 'too revealing'. I'm just saying this ahead of time. Nigger, everyone's clothes in Jojo are sexy and too revealing. God, I can't wait for Attack on Titan to die so normies leave anime.

I think the best way to explain Giorno's absence is that simply he's become too OP and doesn't feel shit, so he doesn't even know what's going on. He really doesn't know any Joestar or even DIO. Pucci can't find him because of that and he's fucking around in Italy and everyone is in Florida. Or maybe Pucci doesn't even want to confront him because he knows that'd be suicide and he'd probably side with Jotaro over him. So he just leaves him be. I think that's the best way to do it, otherwise you have what I described.

Did any of them sperg about Trish? Like 4 episodes ago, they had a gag about Trish begging Mista not to fondle her body

I don't recall, but JoJo seems to be more niche and its fandom more relaxed. I think there might have been an article 'Trish doesn't do anything HURR'. However, I do remember some funny memes coming out about the situation you mentioned. It seems that a lot of these types bandwagon on one or two things for a second and then drift off. Tons of generic 'anime titty bad' but nothing really specific.

“Don't worry about it, I'm only going back to where I was supposed to go, I'm simply returning to how I once was. That's all.” are some of the most beautiful final words in any anime. Fuck Giorno, Bruno’s the one who died for our sins.
