R-R-R-R-R-R-RAIS-U?!
Yes, i remember the hint. Very clever in that time.
You could say that the stuff that was appearing in Jotaro's cell at the beginning where an early (if clumsy) hint that Star Platinum can gather things using Time Stop. It was the exact same imagery. I guess Araki had yet to conclude what Stands couldn't do as some if those things should be beyond the scope of this Stand but it still could be a hint that the Time Stop was supposed to be Jotaro's ability rather than Dio's as well.

Seems like Ariki finally lost his touch. Well, making manga about the same fucking thing for near 40+ years does to a motherfucker.
Only Toru was truly a bad villain from start to finish. The rest still had interesting stuff. Part 8 run out of steam rather quickly. Part 9 is rather good though. Having a villain protagonist has really reinvigorated the writing muscles. Hopefully this keeps on going.

Got banana'd from 4cuck for saying pocoloco was a lazy nigger who won by getting lucky. So I re-read part 7 and confirmed the facts...

A Nigger - Check.
Lazy - Check.
Stand Power is literally based on getting lucky - Check.

Seems to me like Pocoloco is a lazy nigger who wins by getting lucky. TJD.
Believe it or not, his power is not luck. His Stand can only cheer him up and offer the occasional advice. He DOES have immense luck but the Stand is not the source. It just gives advice and good vibes. He is not even lazy. He is carefree and no one goes after him because he is not after the corpse nor does he have a powerful Stand. Everyone else is killing one another and he just does not involve himself with that crap.

So the latest chapter of the Jojolands came out and we are officially in "Act 2" of the story after "Act 1" ended last month

Honestly pretty interesting that there seems to be an idea for a 3-4 act structure for this part

Also a few more weeks until Steel Ball Run!
How's Part 9 so far? I usually read JoJo in chunks after getting burnt out by the millions of breaks that were happening during that Vitamin C fight in Part 8 so my knowledge of Part 9 goes to like chapter 7-10.

Personally I really enjoy it, I like the cast of characters and enjoy how it feels more structured so far than previous parts

Good arc. I wonder if we will have a new guest character in every arc. Charmingman was a good addition but apparently he returned home.

I watched it. It was quite good, but my enjoyment is severely hampered by the fact that they still haven't announced- 1. When the next episode will come out, and 2. The manner in which the rest will even be released... Leading me to believe that it will be... 1. Quite some time in the future, and 2. In multiple batches several months apart like Stone Ocean was.

REAL HORSERACING IS BACK 🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇
I thought the first episode was pretty good all things considered and the OST really did a lot of work in making the anime work. It was never going to beat out the manga in visual style but I still think the anime looks good. The show might become a CGI mess of horses later on (god please no) but the first episode had minimal CGI and the CG that was there wasn't terrible to look at. The SBR theme is fuckin bangin, might like it more than Golden Wind's.

Watched the episode. It was good. Real good. I barely noticed the CGI when it showed up and the animation is still top notch. Even so, i still question some of the things that were censored or weren't shown.

>No mini horses
>No cringe ice sculpture joke (or ice sculpture for that matter)
>No sand from the emerald
>Pocoloco in general (pic related)
>No reporter asking Steven the age of Lucy
>Removing the implied sex scene between johnny and his hoes

Those are the major changes i notice. The rest can be excused for trying to speed things along or deciding to show them off at a later date (like Sandmans backstory). No idea why they hide Pocoloco stand.

Very strong premiere on par with Part 3's in terms of quality and direction. The fact that DP didn't skimpt on the first race is a good sign. The omissions didn't bother me since SBR has a fairly slow start on top of the fact that Araki set up a lot of things early on that gets dropped as he gets a better grasp of the story so just getting to the point was a smart idea for the premiere (I will miss "mini-horses" though). And now the ball is in Netflix's court who just seem to can't confirm whether it's a weekly or batch release but I suppose we'll see next week.
