Republican Sen. John McCain, an internationally renowned Vietnam War hero who served for 30 years in the Senate representing Arizona, died Saturday due to complications stemming from brain cancer.

His office said in a statement that his wife Cindy McCain and their family were alongside him when he died.

"At his death, he had served the United States of America faithfully for sixty years," his office said.

McCain, 81, was a part of many of the past three decades' most significant political moments. He was the 2008 Republican presidential nominee in a contest he lost to President Barack Obama. He also sought the presidency in 2000, mounting a primary campaign against President George W. Bush.

A graduate of the Naval Academy, the Arizona Republican followed both his father and grandfather, who were four-star admirals, into the US Navy, where he carried out airstrike missions.

His greatest crimes seem to be criticizing Trump and, understandably due to his history, having a more heavy handed military approach than other Congressmen.
 
I didn't agree with him politically, but I didn't hate him.

So was he tortured until he absolutely had to break down and betray his fellow soldiers and country, or did he refuse to break down and betray his fellow soldiers and country? You're having trouble keeping your stanning narrative straight from one sentence to the next.
 
No matter how retarded you may act about death, people dying is never good. Not something to laugh at or gloat about, ever.
He wasn't the best, but he wasn't terrible either. Rest in peace.

When you're being tortured you will give up something. John McCain understandably broke, just like thousands upon thousands of other men on this earth have broken while being tortured. Though, unlike many other people, when he was given a way out he refused it. He gave up a clearly sham speach just like many other American POWs who were in his position. That isn't exactly high treason and I don't see how any reasonable person could hold that against him; especially people who have never been in a situation that comes close to the amount of physical and psychological torture he went through.
 
Dying of cancer is fucking terrible. But being a neocon dick who pretended to care about sick people is not the best thing to be . However, dying of cancer isn't a fitting punishment he was just a deluded old cunt who ironically was pro life and pretended to care about poor people who couldn't pay health insurance.

No, it was specifically said he was too strong to give into things that would have broken most men, while simultaneously absolving him of the burden of being broken. That of course he HAD to make vile statements about America for propaganda because he was tortured, but he was so strong for refusing to do a vile propaganda stunt because he was tortured.

Even if you're sucking his shriveled dead cock, you could at least choose between "He was just a mortal man, he gave them what they wanted because he couldn't resist" and "He was a superhuman, really, to refuse to give them what they wanted". Trying to play them both just makes you look like the fucking useful idiot you are trying to do PR spin for some asshole who would have cut out your heart on live television if it would have let him be President for a week.
