Beauty products are also a HUGE insdustry, especially amongst younger millenials and gen zers. It's not that hard to believe that there might be organized crime surrounding an industry that makes so much money.

Once someone accidentally bought me a fake Lime Crime lip topper and it had the exact same issues with it that the real ones had. After that out of curiosity I bought two more Lime Crime products from that seller and both acted identical to each other but only one lipstick had the right packaging. I'm no makeup pro but they swatched identical to each other and one verified as real lipstick. I dunno but this is really interesting to me. How profitable is this market and how are they able to do so? Sure some are shitty fakes but clearly identical makeup can be found on places like Wish and AliExpress. And who knows, maybe some do sell the real stuff but stolen

I've read counterfeit makeup brings in millions of dollars every year. The fake stuff looks as good as the real items, and the major cosmetic labels have staff to find and prosecute the importers and sellers.
I won't buy anything fake, you don't know what the real ingredients are.
 
I have a question for those of you who have been following Jeffree Star. I am trying to research this other guy called William Control who is controversial at the moment. I discovered that he used to tour with Jeffree Star back when Jeffree was trying to have a music career. Are Jeffree Star and William Control still friends? Did Jeffree Star ever respond to the allegations about William Control abusing his groupie harem of internet sex slaves?

I found this music video of William Control's old band Aiden. Jeffree Star is in it, at one point he puts lipstick on William.


They seemed to be close at the time. I found videos of them onstage singing together. Are they still friends?

Considering he was one of the few to call out Davhie Vanity and cut all contact with him after being pretty close with the guy not too long earlier, I'd say he would have done the same if he knew about William. If you'd call out a pedophile you're probably going to call out a sex cult leader

Though tbh, I honestly didn't remember William much at all and I unfortunately used to listen to Jeffree and a decent amount of "Scene" music as a kid. I certainly don't remember them ever being close but I could be wrong there. Also it was common for random bands and artists within the Scene to show up on each other's stage, especially at places like warped tour and obviously if you were touring. Didn't mean you were actually close, I'm sure most did it for the fans and exposure. It was also common that people who hated each other would have to tour a lot together simply because there weren't many options to tour with, most had common fans, and they couldn't afford to tour alone. Not saying this is the case here but good to remember as you're researching William. Pretty much everyone hated Johnny Craig for example but they all toured with him at one point or another. Many have toured with Ronnie Radke multiple times too

As for still friends if they were to begin with, likely not. Jeffree doesn't seem to talk about any friends he had during his singing years. He was pretty catty and left early so he likely burned a bunch of bridges and also simply grew apart from everyone. Not much to talk about if you've totally switched careers. He's probably polite to them or happy to see them if they're in town but in the same way you're happy to see an old classmate you didn't dislike. I'm sure he probably wishes he'd stayed close to Nikki Minaj though, that would have been an amazing brand opportunity for him
 
Someone on lolcow was asking about the whole JC/Tati drama. If JC was such a problem with his behavior, why doesn't Tati call out Jeffree Star?

Probably because Jeffree's "Tati" was Kat Von D and Tati doesn't feel Jeffree owes her much, if anything.

I don't have a legit answer to your question other then probably not, Jeffree seems to cut ties with anyone remotely problematic at this point.
But holy shit, I saw this band play a house party a very long time ago (circa 2005), definitely before they ever had a record deal. I remember he was known for being straightedge, which was like sooooo cool of him. Does anybody remember those faggots putting black x's on their hands? No, anyway. He went by "wiL" back then and had a piss poor attitude when I talked to him. Anyway, last I heard he went solo, got married and had a kid. I'll have to look into these allegations

Tbh, with the exception of the old video where Jeffree screams equivalent profanities to those woman as they did for him, the only thing damning here against Jeffree was the texts with his hairdresser (granted, haven't seen them or what they say exactly so I don't know how bad they were). Calling a woman a rat? Can't really assume he was calling the cunt anything specific to her race as opposed to just insulting her tbh. I think people focus on the wrong things with Jeffree so it winds up invalidating any good point they might make. And then unfortunately most of the people who decide to shade Jeffree are equally bad like Jackie Aina or total hypocrites like Laura Lee.

Like one of the big reasons people didn't care about the hair dresser was because by exposing Jeffree he exposed himself as someone perfectly fine with racism and only seemed to care about it if it could be used as ammo against someone else which turned people against him before he showed any proof. Jeffree would need someone with significantly less skeletons in their closet against him, or at least someone who wasn't just some other drama snake in the beauty community to bring him down a peg. And they'd need a bunch of proof of more than just him being a basic messy person cause people in the beauty community have kind of gotten used to that. Hell, currently I'd say Jeffree isn't even close to the messiest (at least publicly). That was James Charles by a landslide with his stealing art and shitting on fans and all that. Once he's gone it'll be someone else. Or hell, it may go right back to Jeffree if he decides to be a public bitch again

he's had some work done
now whether or not that look was totally intentional i don't know, he posted a video a couple months ago about getting his incorrectly-done filler taken out, so he doesn't have the best record of going to actually good plastic surgeons
 

So he was going to expose JC's "sexual predator" behavior, but that would only perpetuate the drama so he's going to keep his mouth shut. Am I getting this right?
 
Whatever he was trying to get done, I've only seen cheeks like that in people who are starving to death or video game undead.

He's saying he's "above the drama" because when prompted for receipts he had none. Even if he did have receipts bringing it up would only prompt people to compare it to his own predatory behavior. The thing about James Charles is he is much younger than Jeffree, has never been in a real relationship, and his internet career has been very brief compared to Jeff's. All of these grown adults (33 and 37) are acting like he’s irredeemable and giving him shit yet he’s 19 and obviously has much to learn. Meanwhile Jeffree who has had a long ass online presence has had multiple controversies that he has seldom learned from.

I should add that I'm no fan of James, I just think it's kind of pathetic to sever close friendships and spit vitriol about people because they're shilling snake oil that directly competes with your own snake oil (unless you have a biotin difficiency, your body pisses it all out). The beauty community on YT as a whole is very two-faced.
