It's criminal that From Russia With Love hasn't been mentioned more. It's well written, grounded and gritty with that Connery charm to balance it out. Everything you need from a Bond movie.

From Russia With Love is like Goldfinger or Goldeneye, in that it's so comprehensively good there isn't actually much to add. It's criminal that From Russia With Love hasn't been mentioned more. I agree but throw in Thunderball in there too, which is my favorite. From Russia With Love is like Goldfinger or Goldeneye, in that it's so comprehensively good there isn't actually much to add.
I enjoy that theory. It’s really to Skyfall’s Raoul Silva. Like the Brits abandoning their agents thing. The true ending to james bond's story is 1996's the rock
No really. That was the intent of the writer at the time. For obvious legal reasons he couldn't do more than vaguely imply it and its intended as a wink wink situation but the idea is that 'james bond' is an identity given to 007, not who he actually is, explaining the different actors and that at some point sean connery's bond fucked up, got caught and disavowed by the british government and ended up rotting in a US prison in secret for decades
Things Bond should never do:I don't really care much for the actors in the movies, though the best cars have to be the XKR and BMW E38.

Brosnan Bond is awesomeI remember watching Remington Steel, thinking Brosnan would make a great Bond. I wasn't wrong.
If he hadn't been paired with the worst writing staff trying to ape the Roger Moore films for some goddamn reason instead of peak Connery, Daniel Craig would probably still be starring in bad video game adaptations.Brosnan Bond is awesome
Aside from Aston Martin or BMW, Lotus was very fitting for Bond wasn’t it?
It’s awkward because intelligence agencies and the British government are controlled by those people. Bond would basically be fighting his bosses’ bosses, and all of them rather than a few bad apples. A rebel vigilante Bond would be more interesting than Daniel Craig quitting every movie because he’s sad about Vesper, but it’d never fly for obvious reasons. The Bond franchise really can’t continue though because today’s villains are also society’s heroes. The megalomaniacs of today are today’s benevolent billionaire class, soyentists who fuck around with viruses in government labs, and NGO leaders like Soros or Schwab. Never has there been a better potential era for Bond than now but we’re told to worship these people, not stop them
I think Goldeneye was only as good as it was because it was built out of a repurposed and toned down third Dalton script. If he hadn't been paired with the worst writing staff trying to ape the Roger Moore films for some goddamn reason instead of peak Connery, Daniel Craig would probably still be starring in bad video game adaptations.
I like both but EoN wins for me because it’s Pierce’s voice and not just his face like Nightfire.Which was the better Bond game?
Nightfire?
Or
Everything or Nothing?
Are you insane? EA’s bond games are legendary. That run of Agent Under Fire to From Russia With Love is generational.Activision Bond games > EA Bond games.
FRWL was also a fantastic Bond Game. It's criminal that From Russia With Love hasn't been mentioned more. It's well written, grounded and gritty with that Connery charm to balance it out. Everything you need from a Bond movie.
I just really like Quantum of Solace, Goldeneye remake and 007 Legends as CoD clones tbh and feel they get shat on too hard. Havn't really played AUF and the other EA games, I probably should, but I kept getting stuck on stupid car stagesAre you insane? EA’s bond games are legendary. Dalton was really good as Bond, I think he's highly underrated. After the cheese of the Moore movies, he brought back a more grounded and on-edge Bond. A bit like Craig after the Brosnan movies devolved into pure camp.I feel like I need to revisit the Dalton movies again as I don't have strong memories of them.
A friend of mine likes Garbage’s The World is Not Enough. I too like that song. I also really enjoyed Paul McCartney and Duran Duran. For Your Eyes Only, You Only Live Twice, and Goldeneye >>>>>>>>
That being said the best Bond themes are done by:
Adele
Chris Cornell
Paul McCartney & Wings
Sheena Easton
Shirley Bassey
