The last thing that this board needs is mod that hates it and wants to subvert it, and the people making those suggestions either don't use the board and don't care if it burns, or are just seething at it.
Does anyone have the schematics for hk-47? He was a good robot and a good mod. I'd second @The Last Stand I guess, don't think much of their politics, but they seem like they wouldn't abuse the position. Who can really say beforehand though? You might consider making a backup of the board before giving any new guy the reigns lol

I feel like it's probably personal investment, the frustrations of politics just tire them out after so much exposure. Never going to find someone who's genuinely apolitical modding this board, and even if you did they'd probably do a poor job. It's a tough position.

You should spend the weekly pizza day with your mods to sweeten the deal, especially if you aren't paying them, or something else to sweeten the deal/offset the abuse. Time zones fuck that all up though.

Honestly this would probably be the best course of action. 3 jannies, one for each part of A&H. Lower chance for a burnout, and you only need 1 extra janny on top of the two you were planning on

I guess it just comes down what's preferable to you, if finding new mods every 6 months isn't a huge hassle, then figuring out the issue isn't important. I suggested that issue, because it might be why people don't last long in that area. Articles and News/Happenings is a totally different from Deep Thoughts. You could probably get some psychedelic/religious/broke philosophy student to mod deep thoughts long term, but I don't think the same person would want anything to do with the other boards.

If you break the two areas up maybe you can get more than 6 months from a mod. I'm just spitballing here.
 
Now that people are actually reading the thread, can we please for the love of Christ get the thunkful rating added back to AT?
 
It's actually sad that I can't think of anyone who I think would be a good mod.

@AnOminous retired, @CatParty is clearly there purely for the craic, and I like all the other established profiles like @BOLDYSPOOKY! and @Bender too much to consider inflicting this on them.

Fuck all the Newfags and pure A+H posters, they'd abuse and not in a fun way.
 
My thought process is that if this janny could get A&N cleaned up to Dear Leader's standards, MAYBE they could get their sticker privileges back.
