Sure, I would help out, I'm lately lurking most of the time anyway.
Since I'm from Europe I can janny when the other mods sleep.
I'm also not an AT poster, so I don't care about about the "teams" there.

That's completely fair. I just hope that Null picks a Janny that isn't
"one of the boys"
You know what I mean? I want somebody that will ""protect"" opinions that go against the norm and hopefully not use their janny privileges to silence/mock/ban/whatever them because they are posting (none spam) shit that doesn't go with the normal talking points.
Basically I hope it's not just a boring mod that's only going to use their janny powers to keep a status quo instead of actually moderating when people fling constant shit at somebody that might have a different opinion from the rest.

Basically my thoughts whoever gets it. The last thing thunderdome needs is a power tripping mod.

They need to be able to play neutral (not that they can't have their own opinion) and go against the grain if needed. They can't just turn the place into a hugbox. That'll lead to Null just nuking it down the line.
 
I nominate @Forgetful Gynn who is helpful, adroit, and isn't obsessed with anime(to my knowledge) or myself, a masochist in need of an extra hobby who strives for ascended neutrality in the political spectrum(autism).
 
is liking anime a disqualification? oh well, no broom for me.

I'm looking for 2 moderators for the Autism Thunderdome category. This includes Deep Thoughts, Articles & Happenings, and the Happenings board. I usually never do tryouts and deputize people at random but I don't even know who posts here at this point.

You may nominate yourself but special considerations to third party nominations.

Perks of being a mod:
- You can be the change you want to see in the community.
- Cool badge thing on your profile.
- Users cannot ignore you.*

Burdens of being a mod:
- Users will hate you and openly resent you regardless of what you do or do not do.
- Users will not report posts and then become upset that you do not delete posts that they think cause low quality threads.
- Articles & Happenings is literally unmoderatable and is basically the comments section on Infowars.

- You will burn out in 6 months and simply vanish.‡

* This was a common complaint with Zed and OwO.
† You do it for free.
‡ This has happened to every A&H mod without exception.

In general we need a light touch who is not emotionally invested in "their team" to issue threadbans to keep threads on track, board bans to keep the signal to noise ratio down, and who can FEARLESSLY communicate concerns directly to me.

Use Agree/Disagree on posts nominating people so I can get a feel for things.

Mr. Null, sir, would it perhaps be possible to solve this issue by purchasing the service from an external and/or third party? I consider these forums quite valuable and would gladly donate some of my time if I had any available for donation. Unfortunately, I don't. I still want to help. Maybe I could do so monetarily?
 
We are suppose to be using the report button? I honestly thought that would be faggy.
What are you suppose to report? People shitting up a thread? Because a lot of the time just saying that in a thread fixes it.
