Chris gets $1300 a month, has medicare and can work a part time job to make a shitload of extra money. If I was in his shoes, I'd find a cheap apartment, maybe a roommate, and just spend my time banging UVA students.
He does that stuff already.
Nah, he knows those things.
Improvement's a pretty diverse word. It would follow that there are lots of subtle differences in how you apply it.
And yeah, if you're happy sitting on your ass and drinking whiskey all day, then go for it. When it stops being happy for you, stop doing it.![]()
Because I might know Chris better than his own mother does. (Not really.) Chris has a budget and he's aware of his expenditures. He doesn't have a budget and his credit speaks for itself. How do you know he has a budget? That's ridiculous.

Like seriously, if anyone believes the cwcki is an accurate representation of Chris, they need to chill out and experience the real world for a bit. Get a handle on things.
he's aware of his expenditures
His recent sociability will only last as long as the Impulse gal pals want a gross, weird autismo in their life. I think the worst is yet to come, but I don't think we'll hear much about it.
What adult does those things? I sure don't.Okay, so how do you know CWC uses a budget? I'm talking a real budget, not "Mm, yeah. Paid my phone bill" I mean, "This month: 800 for rent, 200 for groceries, 100 for gas" etc. things that an adult does.
What problems? Not that Chris doesn't have problems, but people's standards for what counts as a problem for Chris seem to be really bizarre and distanced from anything helpful to Chris himself.WC will never improve to the level of a real adult. He has to admit he has problems or the change won't happen.
You know, I think it's a 50-50 sort of situation. He has gotten better in regard to things like socializing more and keeping his life private.
On the other hand, it's only been 8 months since the Gamestop incident. Chris is still getting banned from places and he has the potential for a massive public chimpout at any time. The macing incident caught us completely off-guard and I have the feeling it won't be the last time Fatty gets in trouble with the law.
I know Marvin and others love to go on about how Chris is finally becoming a normie but I'm not completely buying it just yet. He's still a man baby that has deep psychogical scars from being a shut-in for years and having Barb as a mother. Bellydancing lessons with a hippy won't change that.
I don't say Chris is becoming normal. I just think people have really dumb standards for what Chris "should" do.It think it's because after all this time some people have become emotionally invested in Chris so they take any positive steps an make them seem bigger than they really are. As I said in my last post every time he seems to be taking a few baby steps forward he takes one big step backwards and old Chris rises from the bottom like a floater in the swimming pool.
The problem is Chris was fundamentally unfixable after the age of 15 or so anything approaching normalcy wasn't ever going to be on the cards for him unless he is forced to he wont do things other people his own age group normally do like hold down a job. Any improvements he makes are minor and surface only, don't get me wrong I am really happy he is making money from his infamy, and being more social than he has in years but it will only last so long and then it will be back to sulking in his room counting all the tail less Pikachu amebos.
I hope I am wrong and he continues to improve, but like you I'm not buying it.
Yeah, that doesn't sound like a pretty picture.I mostly agree with Marvin about his finances, but I'm also of the belief that he isn't thinking about what dealing with his credit cards in the future will be like and that if shit goes south he probably assumes "someone will be taking care of that".
That's on target.I also think Marvin is explaining things not so much objectively, but more from Chris's perspective, if that makes sense. Such as when he says Chris had no reason to pursue employment. (Please correct me if that's not accurate.)

I don't say Chris is becoming normal. I just think people have really dumb standards for what Chris "should" do.
For example, anyone who says Chris should get a job really aren't considering his motivations and his situation. Chris has zero reason to get a job. Getting a job would make Chris' life shittier. He'd be much more unhappy, and the only benefit he'd get is a little extra money. Chris has all the money he wants right now. Saying Chris should get a job in his situation is retarded.
Yeah, that doesn't sound like a pretty picture.
The only way he could do substantially better is if one of you guys assassinated Barb and replaced her.
I'd say he's getting savvier--he's not posting videos and he's being slightly more careful, he's getting out more, he's being more sociable, but I wouldn't say he's getting better.
He thinks he did nothing wrong when he maced a guy, and is instead blaming SEGA, and is still using autism, trolls, and every single thing that's wrong with him as a crutch. The moment he shows remorse, shows some clarity, then I'll say he's getting better.
What adult does those things? I sure don't.

People send nudes to other people all the time.I think that most normal people wouldn't pose in their mother's underwear, take pictures of themselves, masturbate in the family kitchen, buy thousands of dollars in Lego sets, and I could go on. These things are facts, they aren't exaggerated.
People send nudes to other people all the time.
And what's the problem with Chris spending thousands on lego sets? If you've got spare cash to spend, and you want to spend it, what's the problem?
No, seriously. People send each other nudes all the time. If a prospective partner asked for something a little "kinky", many people would oblige. The only reason I know better than to do stuff like that is because I know things about the internet and computers. (Well, although the internet has become more of a normal thing, so people are wising up to stuff like that. But as the Ashley Madison hack shows us, they're not wising up quickly enough.)Really sounds like you're fucking with me.![]()

And as far as spending money goes, again, if I have $50 birthday money from my grandma, I'm going to spend it on whatever I want to. That's completely reasonable. The analogy scales too, especially if you have bottomless money to spend, like Chris does. He pays his bills and has a shitload of money left over. There's very little reason not to expect him not spend it on whatever he wants.
