Is cereal soup?

Just to clarify, will this chain of events happen specifically because of the soup order or is it just an inevitable occurrence that will use the soup order as the catalyst?
It's my version of leaving a tip, I do this in most establishments.
 
Cereal is cereal, not soup.
Hence the word cereal existing.
If you eat cereal dry out of the box it's cereal. Nothing changes when you add milk to it. But if you add milk to chicken noodle soup, it's still soup.
You're thinking too much about the milk in this equation. Get rid of that variable.
Cereal is not soup. Also one of my guilty pleasures that I rarely ever do because I try to eat healthy... lucky charms with strawberry milk.
 
Cereal is a soup, milk is the broth.
Chowders don't have broth.

If you heat it, it might be a soup.

When you add a broth, it becomes a soup. Good thing the English language is incredibly specific and not full of redundancies and synonyms.
