When you add a broth, it becomes a soup. Good thing the English language is incredibly specific and not full of redundancies and synonyms.Cereal is cereal, not soup.

If you eat cereal dry out of the box it's cereal. Nothing changes when you add milk to it. But if you add milk to chicken noodle soup, it's still soup.
You're thinking too much about the milk in this equation. Get rid of that variable.
Cereal is not soup. Also one of my guilty pleasures that I rarely ever do because I try to eat healthy... lucky charms with strawberry milk.
