I've read people cooming over this game, claiming how it "does things never done before in a game," and all I'm seeing is things done in the Hitman games several times before.
I only did the WOA trilogy, but I loved it. Was my second experience with Hitman after playing Absolution... I played 2 on PS2 as a kid and got frustrated lol. But I need to go back and play the older ones.
That said, I'm expecting First Light to just be a reskinned hitman game, but I'm ok with that.
Sucks they won't let PC players preload. Not sure why sony gets to. I guess it's some dumb contract they got with them. For a while, it seemed like companies understood PC gamers as their own market separate from all the exclusivity nonsense on consoles, and understood that the best move was to just be open and not get in the way of PC users just buying the game on their chosen platform (post EGS stuff), but I guess eventually someone has to muck it up.
I saw big framedrops during their showcase at State of Play, what's the odds this isn't going to be a disaster launch? Weird the Poles at IOI are releasing the game in line with British time and not an actual real country.

Some people are acting like it’s on the bad decision level of having Madonna in Die Another Day, Richard Branson in Casino Royale, Jimmy Dean in Diamonds Are Forever and several of the other cameos from Bond films over the years.
It’s a 10 second gag that was probably filmed early on in development when this goof was actually relevant on the internet. It’s from the same people who put Eminem and McGregor in Hitman.
Not defending it, merely contextualizing it.
As for the game in general, so far the only bad things I’ve seen “journalists” and “reviewers” say about First Light is the “Toxic Masculinity” thing of Bond being Bond and people expecting it to just be “Hitman with hair” which IOI have said time and time again that it isn’t.
It’s downloaded on my Xbox Series X and I shall be playing it as soon as they let me. If it’s shit, I’ll let you all know. From what I’ve heard though, several people have said “Bond fans will love it.”
