Watched a few early game walkthroughs and aside from it feeling like Uncharted but somehow even more on-rails, it really annoys me how much of a snippy cunt Moneypenny is for no reason when Bond first meets her. Why the fuck do modern writers think that making female characters as combative as possible is good dialogue?

Maybe it gets better later on but for now it's not really impressing me. And fucking hell does Bond's entire character annoy me, he feels nothing like the actual Bond and more like Insomniac's Peter Parker cosplaying Bond.

Yes. Have you El Shillo? Because Peter Bond here barely resembles any of them. He's not rough and full of stone-faced edge like Craig, he's not smooth like Brosnan, he's not callously unhinged like Dalton, he's not over-the-top like Moore, he's not casually dismissive and egotistic like Connery and he's not even the full-on psychopath and outright misogynist of the Fleming novels. He's "Bond" in the most surface-level, Marvel-quip-machine sense.

He's just defensive because he pre ordered the slop, IO has been slipping off a cliff in quality, we all saw that in the last hitman game, that they were so desperate to act like it was any type of success they packaged it with nvidia cards and only launched on the EGS.

In both of those examples Moneypenny is more of a concerned "James, this is a bit reckless" type. Especially with Brosnan where there's a lot of flirty interplay which I suppose might be difficult to notice for the autistic. Here Moneypenny is straight up a combative cunt.

I figured as much. I did just watch GmanLives review the game and it's hilarious how he's outright trying to pass off shit that stealth games have been doing for over a decade as some bold and innovative addition by IO Interactive. And even then he still can't fully glaze over the game's flaws.

Without spoiling the plot too much, it's basically "AI bad and glowies good".
 
Seeing footage just makes me want to play more nu-Hitman; the Bond game just looks watered down, even if it's not as bad as we might have feared.
