She can afford to live on SSI, but she's going to have to move to a cheaper area and live frugally. I do it, thousands of other people do it, it's not easy but it's possible. She just doesn't want to live below the standard she thinks she's entitled to.

Can confirm. It's absolutely possible to live in the Pittsburgh-metro area on ssi. Sure, you can't live in, say, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Oakland (neighborhoods nearby CMU's campus, where she would have lived before), or Monroeville (where she currently lives), but there are cheaper parts of Pitt where it's absolutely doable.

Absolutely. Her SSI payment is roughly $730/month and a quick zillow search popped up with a ton of places that are within a livable amount ($400-500). She just wants to mooch for life.

And it's even more doable if she were to get a roommate. Not that she ever would, because that would be cruel and unusual punishment to the poor soul who unwittingly chose to share a home with her, but my point stands. Pittsburgh is a very affordable place to live. You just have to be willing to look, and set your expectations accordingly.

so my dog is sick and they won’t pay for the vet. she’s the only reason i haven’t killed myself, and now that they’re going to be cunts about it regardless of my being alive, i’m going to kill myself so i don’t have to live like this anymore. unless someone has somewhere i can live, that’s what i’m going to do.

THEY shouldn't have to pay for her dog's vet treatment.

Owning a dog is a luxury. Even a service dog (which that thing isn't) aren't given to people who can't prove they have the means to provide medical care. If she can't afford to take it to the vet (Her, not her put upon parents) than she shouldn't have the dog. She should stop being a greedy bitch and putting her own emotions first, and find a rescue group willing to take a money pit dog in and find it a proper home.

Hah! I just checked that page now, and:

Update: It turns out this is going to count as taxable income, which will affect my benefits and other services. I wish I had known this beforehand, but medical emergencies don't allow that kind of research. Fortunately her bills are paid for, so my dog isn't in danger anymore. Thank you to everyone who donated, and I'm sorry the system sucks so much that it's forcing me to decline your support.

So she's one of those people like CWC who think that if they ever lift a finger and earn a penny of income, they'll lose their tugboat.

I know, right? Imagine if she actually went.

"Poor Uncle Joe, I remember when he used to read me bedtime stories."
"I was raped, you know."

What does "bigly" mean?
