A cracker today so far. Total Honda Death in the Fast 12, Reddit felted with the first two into the 6 being Larson and Ferruci. Now we see who's fucked out of the show.
 
Indycar's in a fucking pickle for tomorrow. The weather still looks real bad, the oldskool starting time of 11AM would maybe work, but can't really do that due to TV. The worst case scenario could happen which is line of storms, Larson has to leave, and Indy proceeds after without the best story they've had in years.

On the other hand if they call it too easily because of this it'll be super gay, but I wouldn't blame them.

Not great, but the forecast is significantly better than yesterday.. It actually looks pretty good for getting the race in today now. I think we get in the race today but with some delay, which isn't necessarily what Indycar (or many fans) want to see.

The problems are the gay rules most US sports follow for lightning and some of the storms are supposed to be pretty bad and IMS is old so it's not terribly good for storm shelter locations.

The second problem of course is do you then just punt for tomorrow? You don't and you're likely going at 1500 and missing out on the biggest story the 500's had in years, or you can it and look like you're doing it just for Larson (which you are of course).
 
Update: It appears the 500 will not start on time. They just implemented their plan and are telling everyone to hide out for now until it's passed. No ceremonies, etc for now. Race is also therefore delayed. We'll see what happens from here.

There's an indication that Larson will stay for the 500 regardless which is a switch.

(lol I had this up on the farms before the Predditor discord updated)

I was figuring the weather was supposed to clear up by about Monday noon and they could start it then. Dunno if the forecast for that changed at all.

It's a bit of both. The sketchy part was they didn't have a history of red flagging to get a green finish. Nowadays they do.

I'd bet every Hamilton-Fan who still hasn't gotten over AD 2021 will yell "I know how this feels!"
 
Carnage so far and more Honda self-destruction.

And plenty of swearing in Swedish.
