The irony that such an intellectually uncurious man who has no ability or inclination to investigate anything wants to be a reporter just struck me. I knew he was incompetent; we all knew that. We all knew he'd never be a reporter, but the sheer magnitude of the irony of who Sweet is vs. who he wishes he could be only just now dawned on me and I am almost writhing on the floor in laughter.

This to me is the defining point about Sweets. For all of his claims to be a journalist, for all of the credit hours he threw down, and for all of his stalking he not only cannot bother to research, which is literally 101 material there, but he is utterly shit at what little research he does bother to do too.

The fact he cannot think to use FUCKING Google, a search engine, for any possible ideas and solutions is amazing on so many levels. He isn't like my 73 year old granny, he was clearly trained to use technology by his school based on his website and flash usage. He KNEW how to find this site. Why the FUCK could he never bother to look for a file transferral system on the cheap, especially since he just needs to type in a how to?! He doesn't have any excuses, he just wants to sit there and fail. He just doesn't want to admit it though, since that would break his image as a victim and that's what accuses liberals of doing anyway.

I need to do something else for a bit. Sweets is literally the only cow that pisses me off like this.

John can't really talk about being a lazy fuck when he lacks the testicular fortitude and common sense to even get a simple job to get the cash for his imbecilic crusade or to even fix the fucking mold growth and wall and ceiling damage. For fucks sake, even being a Wal-mart greeter would probably drastically improve his income, and still give him a lot of time to sit on his ass and do nothing. I was going to say that he should try a part-time shift at a fast food joint, but I think Mr. Chandler not only shows why he wouldn't keep that job (being a slob in particular), but I think Sweets would probably lose his job even quicker than Chris.

Jon thinks working is fine for other folks, it's just "not for him." So, like Chris, he wouldn't even try to get a job.

Gallagher, Yakov Smirnoff and Sinbad are A-List to this guy? Does he think all of America is Branson or something?

EDIT: "Get rid of the boring Indian artifacts in the ASU Museum; put in some tourist attractions like two-headed goats and tilted rooms and a few skulls. Skulls are cool." I think Sweet and Tyce need to hook up.

Because we already know he's apparently the most simple-minded, wilfully ignorant human being to ever live
His complete lack of intellectual curiosity is astounding. I can understand a lack of interest in particular subjects, but he's got no interest in anything other than going back in time. Why did he even bother going to college in the first place?

I only know one person worse than him in this department, but he's literally borderline retarded, functionally illiterate and from a time where little to nothing was expected of him, and if his handlers managed to keep him housed and out of jail, they did their job.

Edit: With regard to all of his "Nobody ever told me" complaints, how much do you bet he never ASKED in the first place.

How many times has Iconoclast actually said "no one told me [about X]"? There was the time he said that no one "told [him] about these file sharing programs before", and another time where he said that no one told him it wasn't "hip to mock Bill Clinton anymore".

At least Iconoclast is being honest now that he doesn't want to go to ASU for education. I wonder if he blew off lectures all the time like he claims the other students do?

It's hard for me to picture him in any kind of civilized sitting, like a lecture hall. Sitting there taking notes or something. I can kind of imagine him sitting in the back in a jumpsuit with his scraggly beard and letting out loud flatulence from all the greasy buffet meals though.

The Belch Dimension or Sonichu?
At least with Sonichu, any racism is far more subtle, if any. Chris doesn't make the black people in Sonichu talk like Jar Jar Binks or act stupid from what I've seen, and there's no towns with racist slurs for names in Sonichu. But there is the rampant homophobia in Sonichu. And Sonichu, on average, is easier to read what's going on, despite the lack of quality in the art. Comics by Iconoclast tend to use more sophisticated language though.

However, this is only based on what I've seen of comics by Iconoclast, which is only a very small sample. I don't really know what the plot is about. TL;DR: Sonichu looks better than comics by Iconoclast to me so far, as far as lack of obvious racism and readability go. I haven't read enough to make a good comparison though.

That's positively liberal thinking on Sweet's part.
Sweet isn't even a conservative stereotype; he's a liberal stereotype.

I think Sonichu is drawn better. As far as the racism, Chris' comic is racist but it seems less malicious. Chris probably thinks the ways he represents minorities in his comics are accurate. For example, "Ching Chong" is a ridiculous character name but it was initially introduced to him by Ivy as the real name of a little Asian girl that had accidentally saw his nudes on ED. And his black characters are absurd stereotypes too, but then again he also thought Lars was real. So it's harder to blame Chris for these things.

According to Wikipedia, in "sociology and psychology, some definitions [of racism] only include consciously malignant forms of discrimination."[1][2][3] By that definition, the stereotypes in Sonichu that aren't malignant wouldn't even be racist, leaving only the possible subtle racism like the only black people in Sonichu being among the villains or that one stoned Jamaican guy outside the soup hotel.

Aside from the racist slur for a name, how does Iconoclast portray other races in comics he writes? I've already seen a portrayal of a guy of Chinese origin that was pretty insulting to the Chinese, but I wonder how far the rabbit hole goes...

(this is from what I remember of Iconoclast comics at the moment. There may have been other stuff I forgot.)

I seem to remember he pretty much only portrays Black people as violent gangsta thugs. Also Po' Bunny Taxes with the thugged out rabbit... damn it it is STILL in my brain.

What do you guys think is a better comic? The Belch Dimension or Sonichu?

Sonichu by far. Sweets might be a better artist, but Chris tells a better story and is generally more competent.

Chris is head and shoulders above Sweet as an artist (and Chris is a terrible artist). "Sonichu" is also mostly tiresome revenge fantasies, but it's a lot prettier to look at. Also, Sweet's illegible handwriting gives me a migraine.

What's that all about?

Let me just show you:

7007.jpg

It's the sign logo. For whatever reason, that background bit of racism lodged itself into my brain with the force of Sonic's Blarms. It was so bad I missed Shekel Shrub, which is as bad as Chris thinking Jewish kids got specially shaped cookies on Christmas.

I don't quite get the racism behind the bunny thing yet, although I have my guesses. What stuck out to me is the whole "[J-word] Junction" name.

Also, the main character - are those supposed to be merit badges on a hat and a yellow cape?

PS: I'm guessing the racism with the bunny thing comes from the bunny's color, combined with some slang or slur I'm not familiar with.
