I wish they would have made a valkyria chronicles game where I get to turn Darcsens into lampshades and soap and hook them to the masturbation machines on the roller coasters, but I don't think we're getting another one. Anyways kiwibros what game should I play next preferably sixth gen consoles or older?

VC 2 is literally just throwing teenagers through an military school and sending them out into an war. And yes, it's the biggest failure of the main 4 games
Like a lot of JRPG franchises at the time, the dudes at Sega wanted some of that Persona money. Pretty much all the big, and not so big, JRPG franchises all experimented with an RPG set in some school setting. Final Fantasy Type Zero, Trails of Cold Steel, etc.

At least VC3 and 4 were better and stuck to what makes the series interesting.

I absolutely loved it. The only criticism that people keep harping on is "IT'S SCHOOL GUYS" while ignoring games like Fire Emblem doing the exact same shit (if not praising it). Even without the school plot (which I found to be serviceable and pretty nice case of civil war after finding the Queen was Druish), gameplay wise it's fantastic. Much shorter missions, class upgrade system and more character differences make the game a lot faster rather than the abysmally slow previous titles. It's failure is primarily being on the PSP and butthurt console war faggots.

It did expand greatly on the Tank aspects of the game and for the school stuff its a military academy. Do you guys hate yugioh gx for being at the duel academy? I like valkyria chronicles 1 enough to play all of the related games.
Its just compared to the other games in the series, 2 is the weakest one. class balance was also fucked making lancers completely absolute while the knight class (i think it was called) was straight up broken (especially on the MC)

Switching classes was also RNG so you had to farm side missions just to get the right material to upgrade classes. if you loved two so much, you really gonna like 3. maybe like 4.

The guys that made tales of also made Eternal Sonata which I think was one of the most slept-on JRPGs I’ve ever seen
Eternal Sonata was a great game. I enjoyed that and Enchanted Arms, even if it was a little goofy and had a bit of a "copy paste" story problem.
Would play it if it was not stuck on the 360.
I played it on the PS3 and it had a bit more content than the 360 version. Not sure if that matters much.

Am I the only one here who finds it questionable that Sega would make VC 1 for the PS3 then make VC 2 and 3 for the PSP of all things, then 6 years later released it for PC along with Vanquish only for it to end up at the top of Steam's top sellers list?
The early 2010s were a weird time for JPGs. Because the market did exist for them on PC, look at Recettear for example but companies refused to port for some reason.

From a western point of view no, however in Japan at the time of release and previously mobile gaming was bigly popular (PSP counts as mobile). I don't know if 1 on ps3 did well or not there or abroad, but they may have been wanting to spread to a wider domestic audience with a little bit of a different multiplayer its wireless, but has to be close by adhoc. Also they got 3 at home, but we didn't here as I'm late to the party I assume it was not a sales issue. Thats only my theory a game theory.

Cold Steel does it too....but its okay because look at the regular school life they have aside from military training!!! School festival! Art class!

Did they nerf/fix scout rushing in 2nd game? When I found out "proper" way to play the first one I felt like such a retard. It was fun but it felt like such a waste looking at the rest of the units.
