Back online and resuming my storm sperg updating for anyone wanting a lazy way to keep an eye on the storm overall. Links to good livecams/streams will be rolled in, so post 'em if you've got 'em. I'm also on the hunt for good Twitter accounts with interesting shit to add to the hoard.

Also -- looks like the storm is sticking with a northerly path and tracking pretty directly towards New Orleans...

The next couple of hours may prove differently but so far it's set to track just a little west of New Orleans if it continues on its straight north approach.

Which still isn't good for New Orleans because it'll get assblasted by some of the heaviest winds that the storm is capable of. Never good to be right of center with a hurricane.

EDIT: Been watching WWL's coverage of it all day and, unless I'm mistaken, the eye seems to be hanging a slight right as of the last few minutes' worth of updates. Things could get even spicier.

This dude's right in the middle of it https://www.severestudios.com/storm-chasers/chris.oneal.html

Seems a lot of the other chaser's streams are down
There's currently a fair number of flash flood warnings and at least one emergency in that guy's immediate vicinity.

It would probably behoove him to get the fuck off the streets already and get to higher ground.

Yeah, the LA meteorologists seem to be biting their nails about whether it's going to be dead center or drift a bit. Both scenarios suck absolute ass for the city. Wild this thing is still holding on to Cat4 with a death grip.

Great find, added.

Is bad to wonder how would he look if he was carried off?

Really, even after it was in the thread poll?

I heard a rumor that during Katrina, one radio station played this on repeat for the 24 hours before landfall.

Anyway, New Orleans is what happens when you drain a swamp and build a city below sea level, on the coast of a gulf that gets regular hurricanes. If you still live there and decide to stay, you know what you're getting into. Godspeed any Cajun Kiwis.

Just lost that Chris O'Neal guy's live stream. RIP.

This dude's is going but don't know how long it'll last https://www.severestudios.com/storm-chasers/john.humphress.html

And this guy's has been pretty consistent https://youtu.be/V2YtGZw30eo
Texas Storm Chasers are still rolling, stream seems to stutter every now and then. Currently up around Thibodaux, LA
Edit: N/M, seems to have gone down within the minute I posted this *sigh*
Edit 2 Seems like it'll be on and off
Edit 3 NOLA now has a Tornado Watch
