While being forced to "help" with Katrina a buddy of mine ran into an old coon-ass couple. Apparently the wife was concerned about the folks from the "bad" side of the river making their way over to the "good" side and looting. His account of their conversation goes like this:

Husband: "They ain't gonna come over hea."
Wife: "What if they swim over?"
Husband: "Niggas is like cats, they don't like the woatah."
Wife: "But what if they steal a boat and drive over?"
Husband: "Muthafucka, ain't no nigga knows how to drive no boat!"

Sadly for them, we did more damage and looting in that particular area than the natives.

The next second later, they'll retract those statements with the classic old "I was just pretending to be stupid guys!".
 
My boss has not replied yet.
I don't know what to do tomorrow.
I can't mow his yard, I don't have the keys and he's my wheels to the other places we do.
 
There's a curfew in effect in Houston 10pm to 5am to discourage looting, and to let emergency services work.

They are very special people given that they are too lazy to take a few seconds to look at Houston's demographics.

We're at the point where we are almost at a majority for Hispanics and have a rising Asian population as well. Barring maybe New York City, Los Angeles, or a major city in Brazil, the world doesn't offer much more diversity in a city than Houston.

But wait, Houston's black population is declining in percentage. OMG HOUSTON IS RACIST!
 
My boss is back from Houston and is sleeping at his Oldman's house.
I hope he succeded in his mission
 
Talked to my boss, mission was a success with little to no trouble.
Poor guy slept only 3 hours today.
Now we're just smoking cigarettes and chilling
 
Just found out the family I had in the area were fine. They came close to needing a rowboat at one point, but their homes didn't get flooded, though they were hemmed in their driveways for a few days.
