Late 2018. MATI was brand new and not banned on Youtube. In fact it was the opposite. Youtube was boosting MATI because the newly viral Geno Samuel Chris Chan series had very briefly made lolcow stuff hot in the algorithm. Found KWF from there.

It's been a terrible waste of 7 years, but formative in many important ways too.

Null would pop up now and then around the internet blood sports era, initially as a passing mention but eventually as a guest. Metokur’s internet story videos and streams were always something I enjoyed, so mati was a natural progression after IBS exploded. The podcast introduced me to the site, I would just bookmark it and read highlights, featured threads and topics that were bought up on mati that I wanted to know more about. I only really made my account because the purple ‘you have to be signed in to view this’ spoilers were introduced.

2021. But very infrequently. I started watching MATI after Chris Chan fucked his mom and I saw that clip of Null talking about his last interactions with Chris. Then I would occasionally lurk whenever something showed up on MATI that I found interesting. Was too low IQ to use TOR at the time drop kiwifarms was a thing so I kinda stopped until recently.
