I actually love dog eating ASMR. My boy isn't very food driven and will get bored of things like bones pretty quickly, so I have to give him small stuff that's very tasty. I like to give him things that are crunchy or kinda hard, like apples, because the sound it makes when he chews just tickles me. Am I remembering right that your girl is a frenchie? I feel like you've mentioned them before but I could be wrong.
My old lady is a mutt, zero clue what she's mixed from as she was a rescue from Bosnia. My parents have a frenchie and he's a moron (affectionate). Both are extremely food driven, with the frenchie being near all-devouring. My dog is hilariously enough rather picky. I suspect it's because I treat her too well. The frenchie will eat ANYTHING if we're together as a family, and mine will reluctantly join because of competition, so I can rarely get her to eat apples or carrots.
But bones? Big meaty ribs or bones with lots of marrow? She'll devour them in 30 minutes.

Pets are too pure for this world and I am incredibly lucky to have my furry gremlin, bla bla bla "she saved me".

Tardwrangled two autistic students (they're brothers) because they keep fighting in the kitchen again

This time i had a little chat with the mother, and i can see why they behave like this. She just smiles and find it funny, and i can't help but notice i've never seen their dad over the institute...

I've been having a bad moment with both Bacterial pharyngitis and "otitis media" (medium otitis?). Basically a sore throat + sore ear lobe. I took an injection of benzathine penicillin and hopefully this will pass soon. I hope soon.

"otitis media" (medium otitis?)
Middle-ear infection.

Tired of all the snow and cold. This has been one of the worst winters up here in a long time. I have 2 feet of snow and it's 3F/-16C. Can't wait until I can go out for a smoke without having to dress up in layers.

Thank you.

Damn man. I wish I had winters as good as this. Living in a tropical country can be ass sometimes.

Fantastic - my 23andme results indicate that I am 100% northern and western European, but I am, by the grace of God, zero percent English.
I thought this was going to end in the joke Conan O'Brien made. Apparently if you're 100% of any one thing, it means you're probably inbred.

The other day I was recommended to use the white blind people cane for the 3rd time in my life and it was still a shock as ever. Maybe I am horribly bigoted or biased or something, but I know all my friends and family don't see me that way, let alone my coworkers, and I don't want them to. I don't drive and I get shit for it. I walk into people and get shit for it. But it's easier to call myself a Car Magnet than to be visibly visually impaired. I'm literally changing careers right now, but I still think that my job (and future jobs!) might even be at risk and in general I think if I use a blind people cane, I'll be isolated. They won't want me to babysit my relatives anymore. They won't want to invite me on things when they don't think I'll be accomodated. They won't trust me to travel on my own. Not because anything has actually changed with me- but because they'll know about it if I have the blind people cane.

The anxiety is awful sometimes because it's very very slow loss and it's hard to explain how much I really don't notice it. I kinda shock myself when I'm faced with some situation and it's just beyond me, like finding a book on a bookcase. I don't FEEL blind until I have to cross a road and I can't see the cars or the stoplight or the ice on the road. But somehow it feels super retarded that I would use a cane. I want to only use it in scary places like when I'm walking around town by myself, but just the idea makes my skin crawl. I randomly see people I know all the time and I would lose my mind if they told my coworkers or family. I obviously shouldn't get yelled at or in trouble for losing my vision, but that's not reality. I always run into people and objects at the gym. But if I bring a cane to the gym, I'm going to be The Blind Guy at the gym. People who say people don't notice are fucking liars, half of the purpose is that it's super noticable and everybody knows what it means.

I don't currently have access to O&M but I know I should go, but same thing. I get really triggered by "pride" stuff. People whine and say "Well if it helps you should do whatever helps...." Yeah but consider the strong social benefit to not being The Blind Guy. I'm very privileged to be able to mostly disguise my vision loss, although it gets harder each year, I don't really want to stop, and no stupid purple-hair nosering bitch will make me feel differently. If I walk into a building and it's covered in pride flags and the most self-uglified women you've ever seen, I really don't want their takes on how I should identify.

Lady, take whatever is stuck in your asshole out. You're the one with the tranny husband, not us.

[Blind anxiety]
If it helps, I've seen people with all sorts of disabilities interacting with groups of people normally, and I have a relative who will be one of those once older. Loving friends and family won't think less of you, and quality coworkers won't isolate you. As long as you don't play the woe is me card like the purple hairs, others will still treat you normally.

If anything, not getting the cane if you truly need it and start to have consistent blunders may cause people to isolate from you because "he's a clumsy/dumb/stubborn asshole." Or worse, you could hurt yourself or someone really bad when walking around town.

Take care of yourself; you'll be happy you did!

blind people cane
I don’t think anyone wants to have to acknowledge that they need anything assistive. It’s one reason the munchie thread drives me nuts - the people I know irl who genuinely need canes/chairs etc have refused it way past the point they really genuinely needed it becasue they see it as a lessening of the self, or their abilities.
Would it help to make it situation dependent? Like you accept you need it for roads, but not babysitting? Then just take each situation as a separate thing? It might help to displace the feeling onto a situation rather than ‘you as a whole.’

I don't like you either. If you're so delicate that you're super triggered by my life, why are you here?
I'm not the one who's butthurt over people putting them on ignore. Why are you here? I'm here to laugh at lolcows.

Do you ever leave the safety of this thread? When I'm rereading old posts, I rarely see you.

Iunno man. Things at work have died down, so it'll just be 'working' for a few weeks. I still got a squeeze in my chest but not even sure if it's about work? The temp has left and another bitch returns tomorrow but I also don't really fear that.. Dunno what my actual issues are with work anymore but clearly there are some. I've been so caught up in this social drama shit that work itself has slipped my mind.
