I swear I've never used one of those things. That's just ...it's too weird for me.
Retarded PL but i am half italian and pretty much anyone over there has one in their bathroom and i was half scared, half confused by these for most of my childhood. I was a shy kid and i never really had the balls to ask members of my family what these things are used for. I just accepted them as part of my summer vacations. I think i first used one when i was 11 or 12 or so when i sussed out what they are actually used for (yeah, i am kinda slow), real "Eureka!" moment, i still remember it vividly :story: I'd like to have one in my bathroom but it is too cramped and there are no connections to hook it up to.

Edit:
Instead I just take a shower every time after doing the sneedful.
Alright, as long as i am not the only one ITT talking about my shitting habits: I just hang my ass over the tub after doing my business and wiping i clean hole with body wash AKA The Poor Man's Bidet. I swear this post will eventually come back to haunt me.

What's weird about not having shit all over you?
You might be doing it wrong.

Both my toilets are equipped to upgrade to the full Japanese bidet experience, with the heater and everything. Even pre-ran the electrical wires to one of them, the other is easy to get a new outlet to if it ever needs it. On the other hand I have no desire to bother with the upgrade.

Damn, now I kind of want one too... Noting this down for future home improvement ideas.

The winter weather isn't looking to let up any time soon. I took a longish walk with the dog and met one of the other dog owners whose dog mine gets along with famously. We spent some time just standing, watching our dogs sniff around in the snow, one looking for mice and the other just doing her thing, sniffing at animal tracks.
We talked quite a bit, mostly about our dogs and how they handle the weather, but I enjoy casual conversation like that because it doesn't take a lot of effort on my part and it doesn't really trigger my anxiety. Once we'd both agreed that we were getting quite cold, we walked together back to where we live (we're practically neighbours, she's in another building on the road across from me) and talked on the way.
Got back home, towelled my dog down and freed her from icy lumps on her fur, gave her a chew treat and grabbed some fruit for myself. I threw a bit of bird seed on my lawn so I can watch the birds eat.
"My" robin still resides in the neighbourhood even though I haven't fed the birds since last winter.

Not a bad start to the day.

Whey! Some good news! I’m getting a spinal implant to help with nerves damage

Bad news is the battery goes in my buttcheek
I just read about spinal implants after reading your post and not being sure if you were serious. Sounds quite interesting, never even knew a procedure and device like this existed. A link for the curious:

The hostel i stayed at in Japan had these on their toilets, it's were i finally realized that yes, the Japanese are our superiors :story:

Go to a woman's shelter, now. If you don't have any other escape plans, go to a shelter.
You need help. Full stop.

I appreciate this, and I am sorry that I am not receptive and prickly but I just learned that the hormonal shift I am going through also sometimes brings clarity and unresolved feelings resurface.
Yes I am not sleeping and I might be borderline insane at the moment but may be this is the moment of confrontation I need in my life to establish myself.
Every thing in me is saying get the fuck out but that would continue the established pattern of avoidance.
The time of avoidance is over and I need to confront my life head on.

I need sleep though too because the last two weeks haven't been great, I'm working on it.

Not a bad start to the day.

Casual dog walker friends are actually great, and they help with social anxiety because the conversations are never very deep and usually about our dogs so it's easy.
If you asked dog walkers I am scary but people generally go out of their way to talk to me so I feel less like a social outcast. Yesterday morning I first heard a Cardinal and then I saw it and it responded to a few of my calls.
I am honing an autism of talking to birds and looking like a loon, but sparrows and chickadees are my absolute favourite.
Had to put the doggo down today. 12 years. It sucks, but she was declining pretty rapidly. I'm gonna be okay, but it just sucks, man.
I am so sorry

Had to do the same for my guy in October, he didn't quite make it to 13. Miss him so much.

Almost a week into new year, prices still going up, life still stagnant as ever, got into an argument with a relative over really dumb shit, same as ever. Money's fucked, money's tight. I use money given specifically to be used for me to buy a gift for myself and that somehow leads to a fucking argument about me spending money. Mothefucker don't give me the money then if you're gonna frame it like all i do is buy things!

Anyways the small cyst on my ear that's been there for a while just had a weird fucking sensation that's spread tot he rest of my left side of my face as I was typing this out I was about to get a few hours of rest. Brown pus came out on my hand and I didn't even touch the thing. Freaked out and called relatives, got brushed off and told it's nothing. dizzy and nto sure if it's from the pain, exhaustion or something else. If I die from this stupid shit i'm going to haunt everyone's ass.

EDIT: still alive, about to go unconscious cautiously (vein on left side of face by ear's doing weird shit)

I forgot to send the positive I was gonna bring up! Weather's shit for painting because winter but I found not one but TWO hobby/art stores that aren't chain place by me and as a result found some neat acrylic paints and spraypaints that aren't the normal brands I've used for this kind of thing but show potential. One of the places carries some paint brand that seems to be a company that SOLELY puts out various metallic acrylic hobby paints and one of them that I got to test out is a really neat iridescent color. I'm not sure if it's purple or dark pink. Closest thing I could compare the color to is if you turned that kind of oily iridescence in water that's got chemicals in it into a tangible thing you can use. That or that one mineral i can't remember the name of right now. There were others I aim to get and test at some point but i spent like an hour browsing the paints yesterday while trying to get the thing separated by shaking the shit out of that one and two others but only aimed to/was able to comfortably afford one at the time.

@Lingering butter taste was a sign, after seeing this and the self-Halal I now know 2026 is the year people actively decide fuck themselves up.
I don't think a freak weird ear-to-rest of head pain thing going on I can't deal with right now counts as a "actively deciding to fuck themselves up" situation just saying.

Anyways I've got most of what I need to get done done, and done what I can to mitigate the weird sudden shit. Ear and nearby vein seems done with whatever spasm it was up to, and I got nothing to do today.

I want to share with you my wacky and existing adventure of me installing M.2 drive to my PC that I just finished.

>turn off PC, power off from the PSU, all cables out.
>turn PC on its side
>think that to access M.2 port, I have to plug out the GPU
>pressing on PCIe lever, I cannot tell if it's fully unlocked or not, GPU won't budge, and I'm to afraid to apply more force
>trying to remove GPU for an good hour, I hear a couple little cracks while fucking with it, my anus is the size of an ant.
>then, I realize, I can access M.2 port without removing GPU
>...
>.........
>remove SSD heatsink, realize I don't have special screws to install the SSD
>check motherboard box for these parts, I dont find them
>panic, dont know what to do, I cant install SSD and possibly broke my motherboard by tying to remove the GPU
>check motherboard box again, I find the parts
>..............................................
>screwed in a little "tower" (or whatever the fuck it called) into motherboard, into this "tower", a tini tiny screw will be screwed that will clamp the SSD
>trying to plug in SSD into the port, it wont fully go in. I panic
>searching on the internet for answers, maybe I somehow bought wrong SSD for this port
>it's turned out I just had to wiggle SSD a little to fully insert
>okay..
>tini tiny screw is on the way to clamp the SSD
>it's slips from magnetic tip of the screwdriver, and falls into the guts of the pc
>cant find it
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>search with the flashlight thoroughly for the screw, in PC and around, no luck.
>wiggle PC case from side to side in hopes in will fall of from it. Nope.
>just when I was about to give up and use the spare screw, I see it in the GPU radiator.
>fuck. my. life.
>the SSD is installed, it's time to install the SSD heatsink, the heatsink is secured with two screws.
>slap heatsink on the SSD, first screw incoming.
>it slips from the magnetic tip of the screwdriver, and falls into the CPU cooler
>))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))0000000000000
>try to find it in the cooler with the flashlight for a good 10 minutes, wiggle the whole case, nothing
>when about it give up, I take a final look, and I see it
>spend 15 minutes to get it from the radiator of the CPU cooler with the various tweezers
>finally snatch it, and screw in into the SSD heatsink
>plug everything back into pc, turn in on with great fear in my gut
>PC is working, GPU is working, SSD is working
>its done

Bismuth oxide?

Yeah similar to it but less chrome and a bit darker.
I found stock images for it online from some amazon listing where all the people selling it are trying to sell 6 dollar model paint for $11-20. These stock photo render things don't really accurately showcase the way the stuff looks as I'm looking at it right now on my desk.

I'm probably going to use this for small details on whatever I end up using it for, probably a figure visor or something.

EDIT: Lmao I found the official company's amazon and it's also overpriced compared to the bobby shop i got it from. bundled with another paint I was thinking of getting for 18 dollars... meaning it's 9 dollars each... not even a proper discount bundle what the actual fuck

Taking a networking cert exam in 3 hours. Already failed it once (due to bruteforcing it and also coming in hungover on 3 hours of sleep) so pray for me lads.

I only failed by 5~ questions last time in my fucked up state so I think its in the bag, just nervous because if I fuck up now I gotta pay for it out of my own pocket lol.

I've been thinking about going back to school to get a degree, but I'm scared I won't be able to get a job afterward.
With the job market cooling and looking even worse this year, everyone is having that idea. Usually I'm very pro university education, but think carefully about it.

Found out I have a maximum of eight months or so left with my kitty, providing there’s no more health curveballs. I’m gonna try to make these the best eight months I can.

Considering she’s almost eleven and FIV positive, I’d like to think I did something right to keep her in good health this long.
