Loquat season here so I'm fermenting Serranos , habs and red jalapenos in various jars. Got a freezer full of loquats from the trees in the garden which are getting blended up in a fortnight or so.
I have been waiting to see what you came up with. Thanks for the update. Loquats are one of my favorite fruits. Have you tried making any jams/pepper jams with it? They have a decent pectin content.View attachment 8811523
That's what I ended up with , Serrano and loquats, and then habanero, red jalapenos, loquat and pomegranate sauce.
What's in it?

I'd try it. Then if it turned out good, more than once. I love me a good scorp sauce.
"Distilled Vinegar, Water, Red Habanero Pepper Mash, Trinidad Scorpion Pepper Mash, Mustard, 6.66M SHU Pepper Extract, Garlic, Onions, Black Pepper, Salt, Turmeric, and Natural Gum."
...I'd try it like, once.
Mrs Juan Lee made some jam with it, to accompany cheese. It was excellent. It's a lovely fruit isn't it.I have been waiting to see what you came up with. Thanks for the update. Scorpion Tabasco if you are broke. Lasts forever because you need hardly any of it to spice something up. And it's dirt cheap.I'll slather anything in Frank's. Not that I think it's anything special - more the opposite: I'm a broke ass student who mostly eats shit that prioritises nutritional value and convenience over culinary value, I like my food spicy but I don't want to waste nice stuff on my subsistence slop. This thread is reminding me how much I used to fucking love my hot sauces, though... Had a look online and found a mango reaper sauce that looks scrumptious, maybe I should spoil myself![]()
Unfortunately I live in fuck ass Australia, where it doesn't seem to be readily availableAnd it's dirt cheap.
At least it didn't shut down. Just stock up when you go.Friday was a sad day for me, hot sauce bros. The hot sauce shop that I loved to visit at the mall has moved out and to a place that's harder to reach.
There's numerous kinds of hot sauces out there that focus on flavor over heat if you look!I like Frank's hot sauce, because I want to taste my hot sauce, not sit there and get heartburn and then have my asshole feel like it's shitting out molten lead afterwards.
I know but I love the taste of Frank's. I am willing to go semi hot nothing crazy if it's homemade hot sauce. There is a lady that sells homemade tamales in my apartment complex and I have a standing order for some every other week, sometimes I also buy the hot sauce she sells. It's pretty good and she just puts it in a little jar for me.There's numerous kinds of hot sauces out there that focus on flavor over heat if you look!![]()
Well alright! I like the taste of Frank's too! Goes great with pretty much anything.I know but I love the taste of Frank's. I am willing to go semi hot nothing crazy if it's homemade hot sauce. That's a really good deal for the amount of hot sauce you get!Scored this a few months back for like $65 and while a lot of them I wouldn't get again as a single bottle for the price they are very good. Habanero is my base level of pepper so having 3 habanero sauces was sick all similar but all good favorite sauces are actually zombie apocalypse being my favorite ghost pepper with actual ghost pepper flavor.
